Do we have any early reports on how the prelims were looking as well as Finals predictions? If all is on schedule, the Finalists SHOULD be announced within the next half hour.

Ah... the first competition. It's always hard to try to predict the first competition, but as always I'll give it a try. Good luck to ALL groups, and please keep us posted throughout the day to let us know who makes the finals, etc. BE SAFE EVERYONE!

Hey to all! Believe it or not, this is my first visit to SCC this year!!! I must be getting old!!! Lol!! Looking forward to South Jones this year and seeing all the groups perform. I will once again be running sound and lights for the show and we at Stagetec would like to thank South Jones for allowing us to handle this task! We will also be doing the West Jones Competition in March.
Its gonna be good to see all of my show choir friends again! I was "Networking" with a director a few weeks ago and he tells me that his groups are ready to leave a "Leagacy" at South Jones!!! Lol!! Looking forward to seeing all the groups!
Good luck to all the groups! And as I have stated many times in the past... Win, lose or draw, as long as you do your best, your always a winner in my book!!
My Predictions in Finals:
1. Albertville (Always well prepared at the first competition, and I feel like they have been overlooked the past few years.)
2. West Jones (I've heard really great things about them this year.)
3. Pascagoula (Again, always well prepared, but I'm not sure if they can be as sucessful as they were last year; I'll just have to wait and see.)
4. Homewood (Homewood always has trouble being prepared at the first competition, but I hope to hear great things from them.)
5. Oak Mountain/Jackson Academy (It's a toss up for me, but whoever is better prepared will win.)

That's how they have been done in the past. The first year South Jones hosted their competition. Petal's Mixed and Petal's Girls both competed in the finals. I thought that was interesting.
