Thank you for this post...it's a shame that such an historic event lacks so dearly in the marketing department that it is nearly impossible to find any Dekalb Invite information on the web. Do you know the schedule for the Solo Performances? Can you provide a link to an official Invitational Web Site? Directions? Pricing?

yeah... we have our fall show... and that really jacks us up... we dont even get our music till january... we just dont want to go out and suck... ya know???
I, for one, am sorry that you won't be competing. I support your decision, though. Don't go just to do it and feel like you wasted your time. I look forward to seeing your group at Franklin Central. I'm sure you'll be more than ready then.
I heard that Huntington North had MANY practices cancelled within the last two months because of weather and school administrators. I think they're smart with waiting another week to perfect their show so that they don't come out and just attempt it. Also, they're different from the rest of many show choirs, seeing as they don't even start learning their show until January.

huntington north is now definately not going to be competing... we are sooo far behind... we dont even know our bow yet... this happens every year... and somehow we always pull through in time for our first comp... but apparently not this year...
good luck to all the participants...
Are you guys still performing, just not competing?
