definately. I can't wait to go to this competition. There are so many people I can't wait to see. However the bus ride is gonna suck. We dont get lakefront buses but oh well I will just haveto sleep the whole way there. As long as someone doesn't take up the entire seat again with his 7 foot torso. (Hawaiin) But oh well we are leaving school early so i am siked!!!!

I'm gonna say:

GC - Hurricane
1RU - Teays Valley
2RU - Garfield Heights
3RU - Capital
4RU - Edgewood (though I think they could beat Capital)
5RU - Nitro

These are mostly based on reputation and what I've seen from the results of other comps...

predictions? mine have changed with seeing a couple more groups after two weekends of competitions.... my new thoughts are

GC- Hurricane/Garfield
1st-Hurricane/Garfield
2nd-Teays Valley
3rd-Edgewood
4th-Nitro/Cabell
5th-Cabell/Nitro

I think teays valley also could be in the top two...edgewood is lookin good this year, and cabell and nitro have both definetely stepped it up... i havent seen the other schools that i mentioned b4 but they will definetely have to bring it to get in the finals... should be a very entertaining show! good luck to all!!!

Just some info...The monster jam truck show is that same day. Might effect the mall crowd and eating out.

It doesn't normally get too bad during that stuff...not like it does around Christmas anyway. I'm not expecting everyone to run over there, just throwing it out there for people that aren't aware.

I don't know how Poca is doing the food situation, but just an FYI for out of towers...the mall is right accross the street

but we're getting off subject.

yea but with our luck well probrably get lost or something lol

knowing our drivers, you'll probably end up in new york city before they even think that they are lost. haha

The Mixed group competition will take place in the Grand Hall with 2k plus seating while the middle school/Single-Gender competition takes place in the Little Theatre with seating for 750 people. Hope that helps.

Surely the actual competition isn't going to be in the Little Theatre....cause it's a....little...theatre.

hmmm... this competition looks like it will be a good one.... i think there are ten schools as possible finalists annnnd they are marrietta ( if im not mistaken i have heard good things), winfield (have no idea how they have done recently but in 05 they were phenomenal), martinsburg (got second at states last year), edgewood (awesome show last year), nitro ( ive heard great things about them, and who can forget sarah beth), cabell midland ( did very well at poca last year, have lots of potential) , teays valley(they are teays valley), garfield heights (did very well last year, super geek was hilarious), capitol (always does well at this competition, their vocals are always good), and of course hurricane.

my guess is that it will play out something like this

GC- Hurricane (maby...big maby teays)
1st R-Teays Valley

now it gets complicated

2nd R-edgewood/martinsburg
3rd R-edgewood/martinsburg
4thR-Capitol/Cabell/Nitro/Winfield/Garfield/Marrieta
5thR-Marrieta/Garfield/Winfield/Nitro/Cabell/Capitol

lol after first runner up i have no clue out of those choirs... really any of them could be anywhere in the top ten... cant wait to see how it goes! goodluck to all! " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

WOW.

Um....thanks?

Where did you hear good things about us (Marietta)? Just curious. We've got a new director this year, so we ARE a lot better. I'm not sure if we're good enough to make finals, at least at this competition what with Hurricane, Teays, Edgewood, Winfield, Nitro, Garfield Heights, etc. coming.

But thanks.

It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to hear that someone is considering us.

Predictions:

GC: Hurricane
1RU: Teays Valley
2RU: Garfield
3RU: Capital
4RU: Edgewood
5RU: Nitro

I would also say other possible finalists are Winfield, Cabell Midland, Central Crossing, and Herbert Hoover. Good Luck to all of the competing choirs
