Okay, every year I like to scout opposing show choirs and see what kind of threats they have in store. I keep hearing about Northrop this year. I've watched their previous year's shows and they seem really good, but I watched this year's show they performed at the Bluffton Street Fair and the groups choreography seemed mediocre and lethargic. I realize that it was like that this past fall and they could've changed nearly their entire show. Especially the Time Warp number seemed to be missing energy. I think if the choreography was harder on that number it would force the choir to breathe deeper and and get a more productive vocal quality. For instance on the other numbers when they were doing more dancing, their vocals were better. Does anyone know if they have made adjustments for Beavercreek?

Northrop learns there fall show in about a mounth! Those numbers are picked over summer and performed in September. So the Choreoghraphy is rushed and learned fast. But once The Bluffton Street Fair is over then they start their Comp show. They Have Brand new Songs, Costumes, Choreography everything. They are good! I wont give up their Show this year but its a Good Mix. They have surpassed last year already and as a 07 senior thats hard for me to say. I know they the will bring it next weekend!! Good luck to everyone I am really excited to see what goes down.

I've seen the show you were referring to, and someone earlier said that was just a fall show, meaning they have a completely different show for the actual competition season.

But i'm not from Northrop, haha, I just think someone mentioned that earlier on here.

I didn't mean to offend you guys. As I said you've become one of my favorite groups to watch, it's just I heard you guys graduated a lot of seniors last year and that it was going to be an off year this year, but I'm glad you're working hard, and as long as you guys keep the big hair, I think I'll be happy .

WOW! OH NO! lol, you're cool we werent offended in any way (i was kinda happy i wasnt the only one thinkin it) " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> but yeah, in the beginning, we didnt know exactly WHAT to expect, but with a lotta effort we'll kill that rumor. BTW thanks for the support! I'm really excited to see these Dekalb and Northrop groups, they must be really good...

UH! SORRY TO BOTHER ANYONE WITH MY CONTINUOUS RANTING ON ABOUT OUR GROUP... I only thought that you all would like to know how we're really doing. After seeing the post where someone said they heard we were going to be off, I just wanted you all to know that we were working hard on getting rid of that rumor, and we were going to do our best to give you all going to Beavercreek a great show. I didnt think I was wasting your bulletin space, but if I really was, I truly apologize... I'll be sure to use the school forum from now on, thanks for the advice. LETS ALL GIVE THE BEAVERCREEK AUDIENCE A GREAT COMPETITION HUH!?

not trying to be rude

but could we possibly keep the personal conversations to a min. this particular forum is for Beavercreek related tlk. Not full out conversations concerning things half the world knows nothign about. And sifting through all of the personal conversations takes time i deff. don't have. And my fellow show choir members? you should all understand all to well my objection and lack of time issue.

thnx <3

BC! cant wait. see yall there

can i get an AMEN? i mean no offense euclid, but your personal conversations about how hard you are practicing should be kept to yourselves. i mean, that shouldn't matter..as long as it makes do 'well' then that is all it should take.
good luck to everyone! : )

perhaps the posters from Euclid are unaware of the MY Choir school specific forums. to avoid any further complaints, and to allow personal conversations of any length, it might behoove all to post such thoughts in a forum only viewed by members of the same choir.

Haha, definitely a lot lot lot more. Let's see, 5 hours of practice today? me = tired. I have no idea why I'm not in bed yet... damn you SCC haha.

WOW! 5 HOURS? DO YOU GUYS ALWAYS HAVE PRACTICES THOSE LONG? OURS USUALLY ARENT THAT LONG, BUT INCLUDING WATCHING MYSELF IN THE MIRROR AT HOME, I'D SAY I PRACTICE AT LEAST AN HOUR/HOUR AND A HALF PRACTICING EVERYDAY, AND CLOSE TO 5 ON REHEARSAL DAYS... NOW IF WE COULD GET THE NEWBIES TO DO THE SAME! pinch.gif ... ANYWAY! OUR PRACTICE ACTUALLY WENT PRETTY GOOD TODAY ! AND WITH THESE NEXT FEW PRACTICES, I DONT THINK WE'RE GONNA HAVE ANY DOUBTS THAT WE'RE GONNA DO GOOD... so get ready everyone, we're definately gonna give you an entertaining show, and a fun competition! ;)

Question (this does not require Euclid's response because I already know the answer): Does any one else feel that they are doing so much more in rehearsals in these 2 weeks, to prepare for this competition, than they have been doing this whole year?
