The only thing about Wapak in 2006 the Best Vocals and Best Choreo. awards were the results of the daytime scores not the night. Teays and FC tied overall, tied for best vocals in the night and teays won by 1/2 a point in choreo. in the night.

Yes, you're correct. But it's the only other instance I knew of this happening.

Does anyone know of an instance of any group outright winning BV and BC at night with no ties, and still not getting GC?

Milton, you did everything you could do and gave the audience and judges everything you had. Mr Schrank and I simply cannot ask for more and we're so very proud of you. This turn of events HAS happened before (Wapakoneta 2006 between Teays Valley and Franklin Central) but it's certainly rare. I know youre disappointed, but you can take great pride in how you performed and how you closed your season with a fantastic showing. God Bless, Damon

I don't think I have ever heard of a competition where a group takes BV and BC and then doesn't win. I am sure COS did a great job but I feel bad for Milton. I can only imagine what they were thinking when they were so excited about getting their awards and then hearing their name called for 1RU. How does something like this happen? Wow is all I have to say.

I only got to see Totino and Hastings, but both did a wonderful job.

I do have to admit, I was in shock when we were announced as both best vocals and choreography, and then as 1st Runner Up.. Hence the silence out of Milton when it was announced. It was just something we didn't see coming.

But, congrats to Totino on a job well done.

Well I can post what I can remember saying its 3am right now because we just got home
Milton was beating us by 9pts with Vocals and Choreo. and so they won bext vocals and choreo. and we beat Milton by 11pts with Band and Other.

It was all really exciting because we thought we were done after Milton got the other awarf for best vocals.

I do want to apologize for us for the cheering we did when Milton was called for 1RU. I usually do not cheer for yourself untill your called, but the emotions we were all feeling and coming from thinking we were completly done to some how win it? I am sorry they we did cheer but we were just in shock that we finally did it and without a caption.

I was also very nervous because some parents and students had told me that Milton was amazing and very clean and their vocals were very good. I wish i could have saw you guys, but i was always changing so I never got to see any groups. Congrats to Milton and 1ru, best vocals, and best choreo. and I am looking forward to seeing the DVD

(written at 3am so give me a break on spelling )

Oh and I know Totino got Best Female Solo (Leah Tousignant in "Boy From New York City") and Best Male solo (Evan Wilberg). Evan won for his solo in Testostertones.

Congratulations to my dear friends at Totino-Grace. Come so close so many times, worked hard throughout the season, and now you finally pulled out a Grand Championship. You guys were making me nervous, waiting till the end and all.

I second that. You guys are so awesome both as people and performers. It was awesome to get to know you guys at our competition and keeping those friendships alive via facebook. Great work all season. I wish we could have been there to see it. Enjoy it! Hopefully we will see you guys again at our competition next year!

Hey Guys,
All I can say is WOW. I saw most these groups this season and all groups tonight were truly performing from there heart. I worked with the judges all day and I personally know that it was a very close and tough decision for them. To clear some things up. Totino beat Milton by two points. These two point were between other and band. I will post the whole results tomorrow, but for right now that is what I can give you.

A group could get a total of 100 points per judge for vocals
A group could get a total of 60 points per judge for choreography
A group could get a total of 50 points per judge for other
A group could get a total of 60 points per combo
I hope this makes things a little more clear. I will have the whole scores for you tomorrow if someone doesn't post them first.

Lastly, Grand River Singers would like to thank everybody who came out and made this years competition a sucess. Without all of you we, as adults, couldn't do what we love to do...perform. We hope to see all of you again next year for the 3rd annual Grand River Show Choir National Competition.

Maybe the band score affected them really bad. I'm sort of surprised that Totino didnt take best band.

Anyways, my congrats goes out to Totino for the GC. I'm still mad that I never got to see Company..... or Encores.... or Testostertones

It was the crew who factored into their score the most " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
