I really liked this competition last year. It is really well ran, and in an awesome place for a competition because it's right down town. I'm really sad that we are not returning this year. Good luck to every one competing this year.

They do have a number of groups attending, but want to make sure everything is set in stone before they release any information- nothings being kept "secret", they'd just rather it be accurate .

This is understandable. I was just wondering.

I'll explain what I can.

The origination of this actually started at Karaoke in downtown La Crosse, Rob and Tim (the founders of Grand River Productions) thought wouldn't it be great to have an all adult show choir. They started one up, and hold a competition at the La Crosse Center. They have a few corporate sponsors but also put a lot of time, effort, and money into it themselves. The competition is just like any other national competition; you get a good venue, professional lighting, good sound, a great line-up of judges, great hosts, with only one added benefit, there's prize money involved, (not to mention it's thousands of dollars cheaper than other competitions can be for an entire group!!) I believe you can access it from www.grandriversingers.com. They do have a number of groups attending, but want to make sure everything is set in stone before they release any information- nothings being kept "secret", they'd just rather it be accurate .

I don't know much about the solo competition stuff, but I'm sure Rob will be on shortly and get back to you on all that!

Ok so I know of 3 groups attending.

North St. Paul Northern Lights
Crete
Us (Totino Grace)

Anyone else going??? Don't be shy.

Someone want to tell me about the competition some and about the solo/duet competition. How things might work???? I've never been to this competition so I want to know about it. I'm really excited about performing here.

Totino Grace IS attending. Some of the other groups attending are well known, but we'll have to wait for the official list to come from Rob!

Northern Lights will be attending! We had a lot of fun last year!

Question: Is this hosted by GCS this year then?

No but Adam is an Alumni of GCS and we are lucky enough to have him on synth this year!

It's hosted by the Grand River Singers.

I play in the Grand River Singers Band...and in only their second year, they are almost full, so contact them SOON to see what they can work out! It's going to be a great competition....hopefully I can host Totino, or do something sweet

Actually we are not quite full yet. We still have room for a few more groups. Can't wait for March!! www.grandriversingers.com
