wobaunsie isnt going and the person who posted the post you are referring to goes to troy highschool but didnt make the show choir this year just to clear that up...bc none of us want that guy associated with us believe me......but anyway goodluck to all and cant wait for this comp...if anyone gets a schedule please put it up because right now its not looking like there are too many groups going..

so this just in today i have heard that waubonsie valley cannot attend chicagoland because of 9 members that would be missing that day and that they might replace this comp with fame chicago so we might be adding another incredible group to the lineup at fame chicago ...can anyone from waubonsie confirm this?
yes, unfortuanately we cannot attend the chicagoland showcase this year, because of other music conflicts at school. as far as FAME, our director is looking into it, but absolutely nothing has been confirmed. we'd all love to go, but obviously, its crazy short notice, because we weren't expecting not to be able to attend chicagoland, so i guess we'll see!! :>

You're right... 2003 wasn't "the pinnacle"... but it certainly was a lot different from any of the shows Troy has presented since then. The Troy "style shift" started in 2004 and hasn't stopped since (and I am NOT saying that's a bad thing). 2003 was just simple and down to earth show choir... sometimes "less is more"... and 2003 was the year I still fondly remember because of that.
Agreed Jorge the show in 2003 is way different from the style of 2004. But the 2003 show style did not get us very far as a "competing" group, while starting to go to bigger competitions so, thus the style changed happened! Jorge i am glad you like the 03' show, but i think the 08' show is growing on you! lol!

I've always liked Troy, but I will agree that the last few years have been down for them. In 2003, and 2004 they were GREAT! Vocals were great, choreography clean and good. And from 2005-Present I think they put show design and choreography ahead of singing. Choreography I can understand, since it's one of the two main "ingredients" for a good show, show design shouldn't. I loved Troy's show, and ability to draw the audience in, but I really thought that last year, for as big of a group as they are, they should be able to produce a lot more sound (healthy, of course) than what they did! Hopefully this will be a great year for Troy- best of luck in competition.
I was in the 2005 show and i just want to say that we won best vocals three times that year, and i do think that we had some of the best vocals troy has had in a while. As for the 2003 show i loved, as well! but i dont think that show is the pinnacle show for troy. But i really love the show this year! i am excited for this comp so i will see you guys there!
