Totino Grace pulled off an amazing weekend! I am in love with this comp! If i had any problems the host would be there to help me fix them. The thing that really made the day great was the hosts... you were the nicest people ever! Not only the host for westside and ovation, but all of the host, they made this so EZ and fun!

Jefferson Connection: This was the 1st time i seen your show and i loved it!! You guys were awesome your vocals were awesome! I could tell that you were having fun and that is what show choir is about having fun!

Lincoln Resonance: Great Great Show! Your vocals were sooooooooooooo good, everyone was talking about how fantastic your vocals were and how you guys did a tap number in wedge shoes (by the way very cute!) Your ballad made me cry my eyes out! i hope i will see your show soon!

Studio 2008: Congratulations!!! You guys did your thing! and i am soo happy that you guys won
you deserved it with your well executed choreography and outstanding vocals I can not wait to see you this weekend and i will be one of your host!!

Totino: Thanks soo much for a great weekend! Your show was great and i love them Gogo boots!!
Good luck with the rest of the year and have fun in Italy!!!

Austin

Kevin, we did NOT see each other like AT ALL the whole day. We need to get together and bond sometime!

Anyway, United Video just sent us this preview of the Spectacular DVD- I think it sums up the day quite nicely LOL:

This makes me LOL.

Hearing the intense music at first made me think I was watching a promo of Waconia's competition. I thought Aaron Olson was going to pop out around any corner in a Hoveround like he did at "Star Power".

But it's a cool video... it just needed more Ana and Voss.

Once again, Totino Grace pulls off an amazing weekend! I don't think either Bemidji group had any issues or problems the whole day. One thing that really made the day great was our hosts... talk about the nicest people ever!!! When we pulled in with La Voce Ballo all the LVB hosts were ready and waiting and were so willing to help right away- they even carried some of my luggage (i think that was sebastian). They were on top of everything and really just made our morning smooth. As soon as I was done with LVB I moved over to start getting Vocalmotive stuff ready, and then again the hosts for VM were just so helpful and so nice, and honestly I dont think we could have asked for a better set of hosts for either group!

The Current: I didn't get to see many groups on Sat, but I did finally get to watch my Waconia-Current kids!!! You guys really made me proud. When I choreographed you way back when, I could tell you wanted a challenge and you wanted to work hard to be the best you could be, and you have definately done that. As a group you have definately stepped it up from last year so congrats!

Power Company: GREAT JOB! Again, I was so proud of you. I could tell when I worked with you guys in Dec. that you were gonna just go go go this year, and you have, and you have done a fantastic job! In my opinion your performance here at Totino was MUCH improved from the great performance you showed at Star Power. You did great, and congrats again to the band!!!!!!

Jefferson Connection: This was the first time I got to see your show this year, and you did a great job!!!! I love the green dresses and the guys' vests- and I LOVE the guy who had a solo. I am pretty ure you have good solos in the past, BUT WOW, this one was great. Good job on a great performance.

Lincoln Resonance: Congrats on a great show! Your vocals were sooooooooooooo good, everyone was talking about how fantastic your vocals were. After some of the Bemidji kids saw your performance in pre-lims, they came back to the homeroom and were like, "OH MY GOD- THEY WERE AMAZING" So again great job, and from one April James group to another, awesome show- you did her proud!!!!

Vitality and Studio 2008: Unfortunately due to performance times in pre-lims and finals we never got to see your show- I know some of the parents did though and they were all very impressed as usual. Sometimes its hard to take a loss to a group that you don't see perform that day because you were never able to see how good they were or if they truly deserved it, but I can without a doubt say that even though I didnt see either show in Class A or Class AA I know without a doubt that you deserved the places you got! Consitently you perform with so much passion and talent, and you both are just top notch groups.

Right after Vocalmotive performed in finals, I went down to the floor/chair area and was talking to a mom and she asked how I thought Bemidji did, and I said they were great, so proud of them, and that I would still be happy if they held their position they had into finals and I said we would be proud to take 1st runner up to a group like Urbandale- well little did I know there were 2 Studio moms sitting in
front of the bemidji moms and they turned around and were like- "Oh thats so nice!!!" so I got to have a nice chat with some great Studio moms! So congrats again to both Urbandale groups- I think its pretty cool that both Urbandale and bemidji have had the top 2 places in both divisions for the past 3 years!!!!!

Bemidji La Voce Ballo: You girls have changed the face of Bemidji womens show choir this year, and i am so proud of the level you have taken it to now. thank you for trusting me as your director and choreographer and thank you for investing your hearts and souls into this show. i am so proud of your season and so proud of the tight family you became this year! congrats again! i love you!

Bemidji Vocalmotive: I think this weekend was your top performances yet, so it's exciting to see you keep stepping it up. I am so proud of you guys and thank you for your dedication and committment. Every show gets better and better so lets keep on track and have a great show in ORLANDO @ FAME!!!!! Many of you seniors I have had for many years starting at the middle school, and I am proud of the growth you have had- thank you for devoting a big chunk of your life to show choir! I love you all and look forward to having a great time together in Orlando.

Totino: Thanks again for a great weekend! Your show was great and you always represent MN well! Good lukc the rest of the year and I look forward to another great year next year!!!

Thanks again to the Spectacular committee and directors!!!!Congrats to everyone who was at Totino!

-Kevin Chase

And my step-dad already can't make it to Star Power next year.

Well, he's just gonna have to make me a pot of chicken wild rice soup to make up for it.

I almost forgot the most important thing! The one thing that puts T-G's "Spectacular" over the top for me was the cold 24 oz. bottles of Diet Mt. Dew on sale all day. I was in heaven.

Hahaha and then we Recycled the bottle Well we are happy that you liked your cold Diet Mt. Dew lol and We had a blast hosting you guys!

The audience screamed for like twenty minutes straight- it was hilarious- Luke and I were falling over each other laughing- especially during Saby's solo in Guitar Hero! I'm glad you were entertained by the boys.

Oh my gosh... Testostertones is seriously amazing. Especially Saby, all of us from Ovation LOVED him. I think we almost pulled him off stage after the show. The whole group was a great idea.
