No, that was the plague that we brought with us (by we, I mean ME) when we competed at Urby.

Whatever is going around has NOT stopped- our kids have not stopped dropping since Eau Claire- we had two folks pass out at our concert on Monday- after having one pass out Saturday at Kennedy. Lots of voming and fevers still, too. I personally still struggle with scarlet fever EVERY DAY.

Basically, what I'm saying is that Totino-Grace is like one gigantic breeding ground for horrible viruses. Can't wait to see you all at the school on Saturday!! " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

No, I don't run the sound. " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Seriously, we have professionals running sound all day, but fear not! They've been coming for awhile, are very attentive and friendly, and are very familiar with show choir. We don't just use alums- these are truly professionals who have experience and training in the field. They set up the sound themselves, they know the equipment inside and out, and we do multiple soundchecks on Friday, and keep a very close ear to how the sound is throughout the day. We do of course encourage each group to send someone to the soundboard to help with solo cues. It can only help your show!

Maybe someday we'll be able to host a competition in an auditorium- you will warm up in our theater and see how painfully inadequate it is- it seats like 4 people. BUT we promise to do our best with what we do have- hopefully you will enjoy it!!

Yeah, I guess I have a pretty strong immune system, because I am one of few in our choir who is not coughing their lungs out.

Also, I heard that there's a flu epidemic in every state except two. Scary...

*knock on wood*

our school is doing alright. a lot of people got sick after kennedy last weekend, and over the last few days we've all recovered.

I'm SO glad show choir is planned in flu season. <:

The funny thing is that almost the whole city of Urbandale....at least the older half....is built on top of old coal mines.

Maybe we really are coming down with the black lung. It felt like it last week when about half our group had respiratory illnesses of some sort.

sad day

at least it didn't show in your performances! (from what I heard, anyway. We went right before you, so I didn't get to see)

Plus, they're all getting the black lung. You know how hard it is to sing with that??

I remember this Mr. Temple. I was one of Vitality's hosts last year and I get to do it AGAIN!!!!!!!! You guys arrived at like noon and you all looked really tired.

NO... that's how Urbandale people just normally look. Old, decrepit, and worn. They're an industrious people... those Urbandalians. The mines take a lot of years off their life, though.

No, we were scheduled to stay overnight last year, but weather prevented us from going up on Friday. We still traveled there on Saturday, but had to leave Urbandale early in the morning and then didn't get home until the wee hours on Sunday morning. It made for a very long day.

Are you usually not allowed to? That'd be one long bus ride... leave at 1 in the morning. ugh. I'd hate that.
