I saw both Iowa City schools perform together last night; I'm now very curious to see how they do at Linn-Mar.
I know this is kind of late, but I will be "reporting live" from Linn-Mar all day long on Saturday! I know there will be tons of SCC folks in the building, and I'd love to meet some of you.
So I saw Momentum's whole show today for the first time. The first 3 songs are great... The closer needs some work. I guess today was the first dress rehearsal and there were a ton of costume issues. I wouldnt say this would take Mo out of finals, but I would say maybe bump them down to 4th... Anyways, I know how Mo can improve a ton in just one day and they have a huge rehearsal tomorrow so im just really excited to see how this competition turns out!!!
Since I couldn't go see Linn-Mar tonight, I went to see Kennedy. They have certainly improved since I saw them last. I don't know that they will win or anything like that, but they surprised me. They seem ready for their first competition. Not peaking or completely at the top of their game, but... ready. In not seeing anyone else from this competition, I still have revised my picks:

4 RU: IC West
5 RU: Lincoln Infinity (I know a surprise pick... definitely risky, but wanted to give some love to my Central Iowa brethren.)

I've heard from some people that this is just not City High's year. Also, since I have been thinking this year is going to be a lot like 2005 City High was not great that year and West did beat them at Great River. Anyways, I think the only sure bet we can make is Urbandale will be ready for this competition and they will place high. I'm so excited for this competition!

nevermind, the schedule is correct as it is. however, i heard celebration will now be performing at 7:20 to help avoid conflicts... this is all too confusing
