i checked the invitational website today and, surprise! surprise!, there is a new addition to report. River Valley Mixed and River Valley Women's choirs are now scheduled to appear at Marysville. that brings the grand total to 14 competing groups, and unless i'm mistaken, a full bill.
it's way too early for predictions.... but based off of last year and what i know of this year i'll say...
GC: Fairfield
1st: Twinsburg
2ndiqua
3rd:Teays.. i think they'll rebound a little after getting used to the new director
4th: Garfield Heights/Olentangy
5th: Garfield Heights/Olentangy
This is based on what I saw last year, and how I feel that the groups will be coming into this year. Depending on what Olentangy did since last year they could be anywhere from 4RU to 2RU, and I also feel that the groups in the 2RU position through 4RU could be interchanged, but I wanted to go with a definite as to how I feel things will end up. I cannot wait to see all of these amazing groups, all the many more that will be at the Showcase!!!! Good Luck to ALL
I am so excited about this. hopefully i will be able to come to this competition with grace and amber!! it will be so awesome to come back and see whats been going on!! i must admit i miss it...
yay, Piqua! and i was worried i wouldn't be able to see them during the upcoming competition season, but now everyone has come to their senses and signed on for the Showcase.
now if Findlay returns to the Crystal Classic, i will have a tour of Ohio's best planned in advance (and, you know, if groups like Clinton, Mt. Zion, and Eisenhower showed i'd enjoy that also).

agreed. i'm so glad Marysville can steal Twinsburg back from Onalaska.
i know Findlay doesn't traditionally compete the weekend of Showcase, but if they and Piqua could be convinced to sign on, we'd have a great early season Ohio battle royale on our hands.
Oh Twinsburg is coming back!!!! What a great addition to this years line up. I can't wait to see what they have in store this year. Always innovative and very fun to watch
