I must be out of memory on this machine...the video play back is choppy, but the audio is pretty good...some drop-outs every once in a while...I will get this thing to play..
It does take a decent machine to play them back at full framerate. One thing you can try is shrinking the size of the window; if you're playing them fullscreen, your computer might not be able to keep up. I will also be posting some 720p clips later on when I have a chance to convert them, and that should assist users who are experiencing skippy playback.

That's the point; to set the mood of a depression-era small town carnival, that turns into the glamour of the big top later in the show. A risk, but one that obviously pays off (especially after hours of more of less standard show choir). It's also great for the kids to be able to explore a wider range of emotion and how to effectively communicate that to an audience.
well i guess that makes sense.
i'll have to wait until i see the whole show.
Yeaaaaa totally just read all 57 pages haha, man I love show choir. Regardless of the scoring im really excited to see every choir's opener! This is a competition I would've loved to attend =( I think im going to just win the lottery and fly around to every FAME competition next year simple enough, right? Thanks so much Haakon! This is such a treat for obsessive show choir nerds like me =) Hope to meet you one day, along with the rest of you! =)
Thank you Häakon! These clips are unreal. A REAL treat!
edit:
Thanks for the awards ceremony too Adam! I got a real kick out of everyone in the backround going "i'm so nervous i'm so nervous...." Also I enjoyed how the GC trophy was probably taller than the Burroughs girl that accepted it " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
Sorry for the delay everyone... it was a long day. I think it's still Thursday in Hawaii, right?
Tonight's performance is from the show choir institution that is Clinton "Attaché;" the sensational opener to their 2008 show, "Hold On/Clocks" (originally performed by Triumph/Coldplay).

I guess i'm just not as blown away as everyone else by Burrough's opener. The Vocal quality is amazing and choreo is on point most of the time, but its so just.... mellow and depressing. I dunno.
Can't wait to see waubonsie... loved their opener.
