I think that's where I get it Kevin, I think I get it from Findlay, TV, Medina or CG. Like I said I just really love that IN YOUR FACE Combo...

don't get me wrong i like the horn sound, no i LOVE them, but honestly the shouldn't over power all the other instruments you can't hear the beauty of all the instruments if you can hear just horns and brass instruments...
but her thats just me.

I like the way you guys have the combo set up, but since I love that IN YOUR FACE combo stuff, I'd probably have (16 all together):

1 Pianist
4 Trumpets
2 Alto Sax
2 Tenor Sax
2 Trombone
1 Synthesizer
1 Electric Guitar
1 Bass
1 Drummer
1 Aux. Percussion

But it's not about me, but about that awesome combo you guys have, I'm jealous! lol

I'm praying for a Clinton clip tonight. The opener would be awesome (hint, hint)

EDIT: For some reason, I thought that Cali groups didn't use horns and typical instruments in their combos, but just drums, keyboards, guitars, and bass.

it kind of used to be like that
but we've expanded!!!

Awesome,well... I love it!!! how many directors do you have for your band?

they really isn't a set "director" for the combo (band)
but like i said the one that usual runs the rehearsals is Dan S.
And basically all the people in the band are really awesome and kind of modify and work together for all the sets, they are pretty awesome!

we have a main band leader named Dan Scoville who does a lot of the patch work and sounds. He meets with the staff ( Both choreographers jen o and jen p) and our director (mr jennings)
And about the keyboards
the are fathoms and the sound is pretty much the same sound that is on the original song track, but yeah.

i am a pianist as well
but its awesome to have all the special effects and stuff on the keyboards = ]

Well, right... And i'm not trying to be rude because it could 100 percent be the video... But what kind of keyboard is it? Because it sounds a little tinny to me. I always thought the Kurzweil pc2 is the best buy for the money, There's a lot of them around, the used ones have been taken care of and you can probably find them under 1000 dollars now... The pre loaded patches are VERY realistic and the Touch is pretty reminiscent of that of the yamaha grands, very light, but quick and almost springy... You also have the ability to split the keyboard in half so that you can use 2 different patches, in the same octave at the same time. Really good for making up for lost horn parts and such...I love it...

Not to mention the sampling and midi capabilities are nice to have if you can't find exactly the right sound out of 900 lol ?... Does every combo go through that? sitting through your keyboardists going through patch after patch trying to find the perfect one?

you know i've checked on quicktime and i've watched it 18 times... isn't that ridiculous.... Well i did the same thing with earth song after we got back from branson in 2005... I think it's just the energy that draws you in. It's very theatrical and the sound is So appropriate. I've never heard a better Unison sound in my life, and i think that's really difficult. The arrangement is AMAZING, the band is rockin (even though i wish it wasn't a keyboard, but a piano. I'm assuming its FAME equiptment?)and the choreography is absolutely incredible. The only thing i can possibly say is that the final chord was slightly unbalanced and out of tune. Lack of support but obviously you were exhausted... anyone would be...lol. It's absolutely amazing, my favorite of all time. I wasn't going to buy the fame DVD after all this stuff happened with the scoring and stuff... but i think i'm going to have to now... UNLESS Haakon is going to keep giving us downloads so that this show and clinton's are up in full lol. Then i won't buy... because there's no way their videos look that good.

No, not FAME equipment. John Burroughs' band has two electronic keyboards.

P.S. Haakon is a cool cat. :]
