Well, prelim awards should be over or at least started by now. Whenever anyone knows, post up (not like you wouldn't anyway )

are there 2 divisions, because a Single-Gender group does not stand a chance against a mixed group. no matter how amazing they are.

I don't think i agree with that... I mean Your girls group at NC is easily at a level where they could compete with Single-Gender groups. Same with Mundelein lights, CG Debtones, Carmel Accents, Burroughs SS, Used to be Crete Faces (haven't seen them lately)... All those groups Could make finals at a difficult competition if they weren't in the "Single-Gender division"... now, that said, i don't know if i've ever seen a Single-Gender group that could beat Clinton, burroughs, Nc, or WV this year.

Bo? who are you rooting for?

That's why i said "after watching sound sensations". I think that it will really come down to the judges's taste. anyone could win.

After watching sound sensations, these are my predictions: 1st: clinton 2nd: north central 3rd: burroughs powerhouse 4th: burroughs sound sensations 5th: South jones

No Waubonsie Valley in your predictions at all? I would be pretty shocked if that happened.

I loved watching their polka number on youtube...I thought it was hilarious!

.....and I am biased, but yes Sound Sensations does look & sound very strong in their performances. A very talented group of ladies.

Their soloist has to get best female solo- I was blown away. Yeah that was on Youtube, but I don't think she could mess up.

W Valley had good songs, but it just didn't look like a well put show. And that polka number was really weird. funny but weird. from what i've seen before sound sensations look and sound very strong! almost time for topsy turvy!

We're a bit behind... Waubonsie Valley is currently performing - and doing very well, I might add!

Wow way to go North Central! I knew they would be tough competitors but I honestly didnt see them in first. Then again, i have not seen their show this year. And yes, I feel horrible for those poor judges who have to make a decision lol.

Any word on W. Valley's performance?

Daytime results coming out soon....

In my opinion, north central might very well be on the top. though burroughs is amazing, i think the theme "circus" limited their song choice by a lot. i feel bad for the judges
