I'm sorry guys, But David Fehr is an absolute Genious, I don't think there's any way his group will get beaten twice in one season. It's been a long time since Hart Beat clinton, and honestly i don't think Hart should have beaten them (just my opinion from watching the videos)... I fully expect Clinton to show up in chicago and Dominate once more.

GC: Clinton Attache (Band, Choreo)
1RU: North Central (vocals)
2RU: John Burroughs (my all time favorite choir i really hope they win it )
3RU: Waubonsie Valley
4RU: Bloomington kennedy
5RU: South Jones

What i would like to see, which i think is even plausible in this field this year...

GC: John Burroughs
1RU: North Central
2RU: Clinton
3RU: WV
4RU: BK
5RU: South Jones

Clinton's Choreo and show this year is still a Clinton Performance, the only thing lacking is the vocals, Even then i'm not SO sure that their vocals are bad enough to keep them out of the top 2... Who knows, i Wouldn't put any money on this competition. From what i've seen the top 3 are a toss up... In my opinion, North Central is not as incredible this year as people are making them out to be... From the vid of state that i saw, the Opener while inventive and cool is Definately a high school choir singing Carmina Burana, It doesn't sound like any decent recording of O Fortuna i've ever heard... People are getting blown over by the impact of that first number and aren't looking at anything else the "please don't stop the music"... ugh, Really? Rihanna? ....... Sorry, i love you North Central, But this is not my favorite show of yours...

John burroughs! i'm Rootin for you!!!

hahaha wow. How funny would it be to see some old guys gamble over show choir..

My dad and his boss had a pool going on my senior year. His boss had a son in CR Wash Momentum, and my dad had bet that we would make finals over them at Big Dance. I think he won lunch and a business trip out of it!

I'll take a stab at predictions:

GC-JBHS
2nd-Clinton
3rd-North Central
4th-WV
5th-Bloomington Kennedy(BK, but that would make me hungry)
6th-South Jones

BV-JBHS
BC-Clinton
BB-WV

I'm sure these aren't 100% on the nose, but this is how I'm feelin' it!

As for the defeat over clinton, just based on what has happened already, it seems only necessary to say that burroughs will beat clinton. hart beat clinton, and burroughs has beaten hart at every competition this year so far.... i guess we will see.

If things worked that way I'd have won about 5 more GCs in my high school career

According to the Nevada Gaming Commission, any formal betting service caught allowing wagers to be made on high school sporting events, school votes (ie prom votes, student council), or other activities will be subject to license revocation and a hefty fine.

My dad is going to Vegas this weekend though, he could probably find one.

I just want to write this for the record. I beleive something out of the ordinary that this group hasnt done before will be done today. And when it happens everyone will go crazy and they will win in the end

It could just be the so cal family love, but I fully believe that POWERHOUSE can take this one. Clinton has been a name to reckon with before, and i am sure they are this year too, but powerhouse is more than amazing this year. their show design alone should get them extra credit (props to jen and brendan). I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

EEEEEEK!

A week from the day after tomorrow, we will be in the theater. I will see some of the best midwest choirs for the first time live.

I'm just a teensy bit excited.

Very true, another reason why I think anyone could run away with it. North Central is very different from Clinton, who is very different from JBHS- and the list goes on. I'm just glad I'm not the person who has to make the decision, because i think they all deserve it.

ALL the competitors are gonna rock the house, and they will all bring their "A" game. It's going to come down to what that particular combination of judges are in the mood for, what their personal preferences are (and how they let that sway them), and which choir best satisfies that particular scoresheet. I can even see different judges each having a different choir in first place and the most popular second place getting the win.

Regardless of who takes home the biggest trophy, with competitors at the calibre of these top choirs - each outstanding and each unique - only a several-choir tie would be an accurate reflection of who's "best."
