Some things are not intended to be sharp, and so comparing choreography like that to Attache's precision is like comparing...
Cheerios to Cocoa Puffs. (I had to. :] )
And, Noel, I know that there's a banquet the night before. I don't know if that's for everybody or just us or something in between the two. We should ask Mr. Jennings tomorrow.
And, for the people making predictions, people's shows a month ago don't do the choir justice. Unless you're watching video from a VERY recent competition, you might not even be watching the show that a choir is competing with.
I'm sure ALL of the choirs are making changes to their shows since the last time that they were adjudicated.
I must say that my predictions for this event have totally changed after watching Burroughs last night. I REALLY didn't think anyone would beat Burbank this year and Powerhouse just did that. Their show is light years better than what it was a month ago and even then it was still good.
I just finished talking with some friends of mine from Bonita Vista who just saw Attache and they were extremely impressed. I think the seperation between Grand Champion and 2nd RU is going to be ridicilously close.

i'm sure it could happen, but i just highly doubt burroughs will take best choreography from clinton ... or that anyone else will for that matter ... they are so solid, clean, and sharp in their choreography that they are next to impossible to take down in that respect ... i don't even know the last person to do it
It's not just about being clean. Best choreography is the Whole Show.
weeeell. i still think it's too early to make predictions because every group has their own approach and things are still changing. it's basically going to come down to what style the judges like best.
and on another note, I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!
there's going to be a dinner/dance thing after right?
orlando's was so bomb last year :]

FAME judges fluctuate a lot based on schedules, line-ups, availability, etc. However, several months ago I know that Linda McEachren, Heath Weber and I were on the panel, plus some others I'm simply not recalling at the moment. That could've changed by now with some different people coming in, but yes, I'll be there. It should be a wonderful weekend, the theater is really very nice. God Bless, Damon Brown
really? very nice. I would love to judge this competition just to watch all the groups.
great!!! it is going to be an excellent competition with such great groups and such successful and highly respected judges!! Can't wait!!! (about 15 days left!!!) = ]

I was saying BoTheMusical16 from NC said they hate when Choirs win because of their good name. I don't really think anyone ever wins over NC becuase they have a better name than them.

At least here in California, I don't think that ANY choir ever wins just based on their name.
I mean, each choir has a reputation, obviously, but if the choir doesn't live up to that each and every time, the name, at least to me, cheapens. Not doesn't win, but doesn't do their best to give a great show. I think that if the judge has seen the choir before and/or knows the name, it actually hurts the choir if the choir isn't awesome.
Does that even make sense?
And here are some extra commas in case I didn't use enough in that last sentence or two: ,,,,,,,,,,,.
:]
i have to agree- i think that a built reputation can help a group a tad, but not enough to make a judge pick them over somebody better. Look at Waukee last year, they came out of nowhere and now they are beating the best of the best.
