now, as a member of Prattville's "Spotlight", i regret to say that taking our group to Nationals this year is a guaranteed long shot.
haha, our director's insane for trudging our tiny, under-the-radar, newly formed group to an amazing competition.
i've been around show choir for a while, it's my senior year, and have seen the most amazing, top-notch choirs all over the nation and im VERY afraid of the magnitude of this competition, especially for the new members in our group who have absolutely no clue what show choir is about
so, just a head's up...
the new kids in our choir definitely need to go to this competition in order to see what they're really doing, but i dont know about the competing part, haha.
This seems to happen every year with them. If memory serves, they've committed to going to various FAME events in recent years and backed out. They also backed out of Fairfield's comp a few years ago as well. " border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
I went my sophomore year and I have to say not only was the show amazing but the Grand Ole Opry Hotel...WOW. That alone was worth the trip. I got lost going to my room and it took me like an hour to get back to it. Enjoy it and make sure you take plenty of pictures, it is something you will want to remember for a long time.
our group went 2 nationals my freshman year and now its my turn!! im tres excited we watched the video in class and the stage is amazingly fantastic.. anycomments from veterans who went to nashville before??

I just heard today that Cedar Rapids Washington "Momentum" will be returning to Show Choir Nationals. This may not be 100% but the Show Choir Nationals site says they are still accepting applications for groups.
Wasn't Buffalo Grove the grand champion at Nashville in 2006?
Why... yes... yes they were! HA! lol
As I was saying...
Neat! It will be Buffalo Grove's first time back at Nashville since 2006 when they won the competition... it will be interesting to see "The Expressions" under new leadership. (Thanks Ana... always keeping me on my toes!)
On another note... I am sad to see Enterprise not returning to defend their Grand Championship!

Hey I'm a Buffalo Grove Expression, and yep, we will be under the direction of Debora Utley and choreographed by Randy Sage! This will be my first trip to Nashville and I'm too too excited to watch everyone's show!! Oh, and what makes this trip even better is we get to watch and possibly meet some Attache people-->my idols

I believe it's Wheeling's former director. Dunno the name.
