This weekend was one giant blur full of varying emotions.

A few comments...

La Crosse Central won this competition the moment they stepped foot in Nebraska. I'm pretty sure the temperature even rose about twenty-five to thirty degrees when they stepped on stage. Their performance as always was out of this world! Great job GCS, it's been a pleasure seeing the show blossom from the first performance in October to the last in March. The faces of the on looking Nebraska choirs were priceless... I think they thought some of us GCS fans were a bit freakish when we started to cheer loudly before the show started, but they soon found out. When I imagine myself teaching in the future, my lovely day dreams always include a show choir full of talent just like yours. A mixture of an amazingly fun show, a phenomenal mature vocal sound, kick-butt choreography, a rockin' band (words can not begin to express how good the band was sounding yesterday), etc. Congrats to a very deserving Mr. Nick Seiler on his Best Male Soloist award. This boy knows a thing or two about singing. And congrats to Adam Miller for proving to me that I'm not biggest show choir dork out there. :-p (much love Adam!) The show was flawless (in my book)... I'm sad that I won't get to see it live again, and I'm sad all the wonderful seniors won't be back for next year. GCS... I love you... will you marry me? " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

There were some definite awkward moments at this competition. Some moments where my stomach turned and some where I laughed uncontrollably. It was definitely a completely different competition from last year (and no, not just the different groups). My suggestion to Omaha North would be to look at the success of last years competition, and return to that. I won't go in to anything just to spare you the drama of some of the things that occurred.

Davenport West, I’m really proud of you guys. The finals show was one of the best in my book. I’m sorry to see that the judges didn’t agree. You’ve had a fun season. It’s been really fun getting to work with you. I hope I haven’t ruined you guys too much.

Congrats also to Davenport West "Harmonics" winning their first prep division. You guys are very lucky to have an amazing director like Mrs. Larsen.

My show choir season is over!!! THANK GOD!!!

As Adam Miller so annoyingly posted...we are rehearsing in about 15 minutes. I want this day to go as slowly as possible for various reason But mostly because this is my last one ever.

*tear*

Today's the day!

My 6 hour journey went well... I had to get new mapquest directions twice due to the fact it was giving me bogus exits left and right. Then I arrived in O!maha, and wandered around the city for about an hour and a half before accidentally stumbling in on the mall that Connection was visiting.

I'm excited to see all the groups! My LAST show choir competition of the year! (THANK GOD!)

Anyways, back on topic. The show I'm looking forward to seeing the most is Davenport West. I saw them at Milton and they had a really fun show. I want to see how much they've improved since then.

I'm also really intrigued by this so-named dance party we're having. Do we know where it is being hosted yet?

well we had one last week just in like the auditorium, and it as amazing, but if not then we are coming to your hotel... and its on

you can fly?!

Good idea...

but here's an even better one.

Hosting competitions should pay for my airfare and fly me out in private jets. I mean come on, who wouldn't want "Jorge" at their competition? (In all seriousness... probably most wouldn't. haha)

It's a good thing I love driving.

I've totaled my show choir driving hours out to 38 hours on the road for 7 competitions (I didn't drive to Sauk Prairie or Cedar Rapids Jefferson). Craziness.

A Broadway musical that, by the looks of it, is now off Broadway and touring.

Oh, and Adam, I had you beat last weekend, not with total time, but... ;)

Depart Mundelein: 12:30 AM.
Arrive Appleton: 4:15 AM.

Darn daylight savings time at 2 AM.
