The Carmel Accents are going to be there and those girls have yet to lose!!!! They are amazing and have the most wonderful personalities!!! They good peoples!! lol The only group that has come close to beating them is The NC Descants and that was back in 2005 and they lost by 2 points. This is going to be an amazing comp for both Single-Gender and mixed!

I haven't seen them on our schedule which I looked at two days ago but if this is true then the women's comp. should be very intense! See you all Sat.

my thoughts based off of what i know and what i have seen

GC: North Central
1st RU: Warren Central
2nd RU: Center Grove
3rd RU: Ben Davis
4th RU: Lawerence North

There is no way Center Grove can take down North Central and Warren Central. After seeing CG's show last week, they don't even compare vocally to North Central and Warren Central. after seeing all 3 choirs this past weekend, NC definetly has this in the bag. As for vocals, it'll be tight, but most likely in the end will go to North Central.

as for the other placings, ben davis will definetly beat pike AND lawerence north. they have come a looong way this year since they got a new director and i think they shoudl place well here.

I would def. say I'm leaning more toward NC for the win but I would love to see CG win! The only reason I think CG could beat Warren is due to their far superior visuals and Warren has kind of gotten hammered on that this year. I too def. think BD will beat Pike but I put them in the predictions here b/c I fell in love with Pike's show from last year! I just predicted what I would like to happen. In all realness this is what I think will happen

GC-NC
1RU-CG
2RU-Warren Central
3RU-LN
4RU-BD

Best Vocals-NC
Best Choreography-CG

I forgot to do ladies divison. These are PURELY based on previosu results

GC-CG "Debtones"
1RU-Warren Central "Hi-Lites"
2RU-NC "Descants"

Who are the judges - since you know

Off the top of my head; Shaun Porter(vocal), DeDe Mantock(vocal), Lynn Herrick(visual), Doug King(visual). I may be missing one or two!

I have a schedule but when I get the time to post it remains to be seen LOL! Maybe later tomorrow! I'm gonna start the predicitions! This is mostly what I would like to see happen

GC- CG "Sound System"
1RU-NC "Counterpoints"
2RU-Warren Central "Connection"/LC "New Dimension"
4RU-WC/LN
5RU-Pike/BD

Outstanding Vocals-For me its a toss up between CG, NC, and WC and here's why: NC has the big SOUND that people and some judges really go for and CG is so artistic and has some of the best dynamics around! Warren has a VERY strong mixture of both so I guess it depends on the judges!

Outstanding Choreography-Hands down CG. To me there's really no competition here esp. me knowing who the judges are. NC is really clean and really goes after their choreography but CG is really just in a class by themselves here. They've got all different styles AND they are clean. They dance well throughout the show and the tap choreography in "Show Off" is going to put them right over the edge!

Hmm. I think you're confusing the Ambassadors for the Varsity Singers. VS will definitely be there, and the Accents will be as well. I believe the Accents are performing in the Festival show choir division, but I don't know about the Varsity Singers.

Anyways...can't wait! See you guys next Saturday. :>

You are def. right! So NC is bringing 4 groups!

North Central Counterpoints & Descants will be there!
Center Grove's mixed group will be there too, I think.

In addition to the 3 choirs(Ambassadors as well) from NC, Center Grove is bringing Sound System, Debtones, Surround Sound, and the CG Singers I believe. Warren Central is bringing 3 groups and Lawrence North is bringing two. I can't think of the rest off the top of my head but this coming weekend should be great!

I noticed that LC's competition is this weekend, February 24, and I was wondering if there was any information on who is going to be there! I was kind of surprised there wasn't already a forum for it!
