Seeing the list of judges tempts me to travel to see this one.... but, my doctor said if I added one more competition to my 9 competitions season, that I may have a show choir induced stroke and die. So, I'd better stop.

Lol, snarky IS the word I use. It's the word EVERYONE should use.

Anyway, no worries- good luck this weekend! I think I'll be there to support the local groups (which is you guys and Bloomington Jeff!) and check out the competition.

Ana-- My comment wasn't originally meant to come off the way it did. I was more trying to express that I myself wasn't too thrilled but I think that came off as--what's the word you use--snarky? So I'm sorry about that...

Anyway--I'm pretty pumped still. I know that BJeff leaves for Chicago today, we're leaving tomorrow...I'm packing in like an hour...WOO HOO!

Michelle Jansen: Where have I heard her name before?

It's actually Jensen....

Currently directs the Chamber Choir at Azusa Pacific University in CA.
Former Director at Burbank High School (1997-2001)

Hey, I was just sharing my thoughts about the competition- it's not just Eau Claire people in this thread.

And Rian, my guess is the judge in question is Michelle Jensen, not Jansen.

It's correct you have to order ahead on time...Something about it being a union house and hiring people...IDK...Anyway...I'm still pretty darn excited.

Plus the day after FAME is my birthday.

EDIT: Answering my own question!!! (I asked where the heck this was being held)

It's at the Genesee Theater, in Waukegan, IL - on the North Shore. Quite a ways up there actually.

203 N. Genesee St, Waukegan, IL 60085

http://www.geneseetheatre.com/

The Theater web site doesn't have the FAME event listed, but this was confirmed by Bert Johnson at FAME.

Thanks again Bert!

As for anyone else wanting to attend - I believe you have to purchase your ticket ahead of time, but they are able to hold it at the door since it's coming up so fast.

We're getting cloooossseee!!!! I'm so excited! We're going to have sooo much fun. Alright I hate making predictions but I'm gonna guess that the itsabeautifulday from old abe is pretty close. Order-wise, I'm not sure, but we'll see. Yeah I'm dying to know what Mt. Zion is doing for their show so if anyone finds out what it is, please post it!!!

It's been posted in numerous places... you've just got to look.
