I am very interested to see the outcome of this Competition. Alot of Major groups will be there and we are expecting grueling competition for a finals spot, but you never know until the end of Prelims. Godd luck to all show choirs that compete.

I can not wait. I hope we make finals, at this competition it would be a major accomplishment..there are some tough groups to beat at this one!

Question--(Mainly for the Homewood people) Does Mr. Tim own ANY long pants? I have been dealing with him for about 5 years now and have never seen him in anything but shorts! Just wondering!

Haha...I'm pretty sure that he doesn't own any!

One thing about this year is the level of the 'A' choirs... they are better as a whole than I can ever remember. I still think that 4 out of the 5 Finalists will be from 'AA' though simply because of the groups that will be competing in the 'AA' division, but I still would NOT be shocked if more than 1 'A' group made it into Finals.

On a side note, I will not be able to attend SCC sadly " border="0" alt="crying.gif" /> (Stupid car troubles)

I have a question.... a couple of comments and a prediction for this weekend!!

Question--(Mainly for the Homewood people) Does Mr. Tim own ANY long pants? I have been dealing with him for about 5 years now and have never seen him in anything but shorts! Just wondering!

Comments on Long Beach... Their funding was cut, but I think they were going to attempt to try to go with out it as most schools do, but Hurricane Katrina put a damper on it and they never got it going again.

Comments on Former LB director Dianne Holbert. She left and went to Jackson Academy to build a show choir program. They made finals at the Petal Invitational! I saw them in finals they did a wonderful job!

My prediction for this weekend, something I never do! I think you can throw out all records for this one! All the groups will be bringing their AAA game when they step on the stage! With 1 finals spot going to the A division that leaves 7 AA groups fighting for 4 spots! This is by far the toughest competition that I have seen in my 8 years of show choir! Therefore I will not step out on a limb and pick finalists or predict a winner. I believe whoever wins will definatly be the best this weekend! Win, Lose or Draw I do not believe there will be any losers this weekend! All the groups will be good!

Good Luck to all this weekend and I hope to meet some of you! Just ask someone from South Jones... they can point me out!!

I'm pretty sure that at Homewood, the Grand Champions of the A and AA divisions get automatic bids into Finals, so I doubt it'll be an all AA Finals. lol ;)

by the way, what ever happened to long beach?? might be a dumb question, but i really dont kno " border="0" alt="crying.gif" />

Their program was cut two years ago.

Their former director (Ms. Dianne Holbert) is now attempting to build a program at Jackson Academy; from what I hear, she's doing well so far.

Due to the high level of competition that Homewood will be hosting this year, I think it's only appropriate to rename to the competition this year from SCC (South Central Classic) to the SSB (Southern Super Bowl)? What do you think?

Ha Ha yeah that's freakin great... or maybe they cound call it Southern Smackdown(okay only wrestling fans may get that..cheesy I know...lol)....This is going to be the most amazing competition of the year, it's gonna be very cut throat, and everyone is really going to have to take it to the next level. I really do wish everyone luck!! I freakin can't wait. I'm leaving friday afternoon. I'm SOOOOO excited.
