GINW is not coming anymore due to many of their group becoming ill, so in theory that leaves another finals spot open...and thanks about the band comment, our band really does do some great work. I was the drummer the last two years for the group and we swept all the competitions last year except midwest cup. We really do have a great music program at our school and I'm just glad it is getting some high recognition for as young of school as we are.

I agree. I know they focused more on choreography this year, and so I think it is a more well-rounded show than previous years when ATSC heavily focused on vocals.

Predictions:

GC: Omaha Westside "Amazing Technicolor Show Choir"
1RU: Grand Island NW "14 Karat Gold"
2RU: Pleasant Hill "Hillside Singers"
3RU: Grand Island Senior "Islander Prestige"
4RU: Sioux City Heelan "Harmonia Mundi"
5RU: Cedar Rapids Washington "Celebration"

Omaha Westside sweeping all captions except soloists.... I have no idea who those should go to. I could also see Grand Island NW and Pleasant Hill switching, as well as Sioux City Heelan and Cedar Rapids Washington, who will for sure win prep!!!

Go Celebration!!! I hope you do really well and I'm sorry I can't come see you!

one thing about this competition is that if there is an adult in the band at all that band is ineligible, much like Onalaska. Therefore, our band is disqualified. Are there any other bands that fall into this category going this week?

ya ours falls out of that category too...our accompanist is an adult

Usually Cedar Rapids Washington's prep group "Celebration" has an adult that plays piano for them. I think that is the same this year.

Ok then, I'm gonna guess Grand Island Northwest will get Best Band... (random guess- but it won't be CR Washington or GI Senior. If Lincoln SW could compete at their own competition i would vote for their band... " border="0" alt="wub.gif" /> )

i don't think there will be a problem with celebration getting in. honestly, they could possibly get fourth, from the shows i saw at UNL on the 20th

I really hope Celebration can get in. They have such an awesome show this year, and I thought they started really well, hopefully they work well this week!
