I'm SURE there is a good possibility that i could be wrong... But i heard Numerous people Talking about how ridiculously close the scores were, and how one judge ruined it... and to be honest i'm pretty sure i didn't even remember Chris Brush being on the panel. I mean no disrespect, it seems i was just Super ill informed... Did Chris and Terry both judge the Single-Gender division in the day and then Move to the night finals? Because if their scores combined were thrown out it WOULD have made things very close... I have no idea. Sorry for being wrong, But it happens everyonce in awhile, i'd appreciate not getting Roasted

Chris was ON the panel- he has the finals scoresheet in front of him at home, and that is where he pulled the information from. They are not made up.

I wouldn't normally post in this situation, but the above information is totally incorrect, even down to the number of adjudicators. I have the finals score report in front of me... here are accurate placements for FC at Homestead 2006:

Aaron Coates- 2nd
Bill Heins- 2nd
Terry Hudson- 5th
Mike Weaver- 2nd
Abby Ehinger- 2nd
Tara Tober- 4th (tie)
Chris Brush- 4th
Leslie Beauchamp- 3rd

Just for reference, Lafayette Jeff's scores from the same judges:

Aaron Coates- 3rd
Bill Heins- 3rd
Terry Hudson- 1st
Mike Weaver- 1st
Abby Ehinger- 1st
Tara Tober- 2nd
Chris Brush- 1st
Leslie Beauchamp- 1st

I hope this clears the air.

CB

But i also know that those are not the final scores... the point Margin between the 2 was less than 2 points... and that spread would have put it Far far from that...Not only that but Mr. Chris Brush... you stated in FC's scores that tara tober had FC in 4th (Tie).... And then you said she had Laff jeff in 2nd... Obviously you just made these up to spite me personally on an Honest mistake in judgement

If I remember correctly, LJ won by one or two points, so you're most definitely right.

I'm so sorry, you are totally right! what i posted was incorrect i apologize. I got that information from someone who i shouldn't have trusted as accurate...

It's still possible that the GC doesn't get captions if the scores are tight... not that I really want to get into it. Just sayin'...

Instead of bashing other choirs, saying, "Such-and-such a choir won just because of their name," why not just say for once that maybe that choir did better during the night finals? If you do go back and watch the finals video between FC and LJ, FC seemed to have run out of steam at the end of their show. They're show was quite good, choreo very clean, but the energy dropped at the end. LJ, again, a good show, but great energy to the very end.

When it came to the caption awards, those awards were given AFTER THE DAY SHOW, so technically, those really didn't mean anything for GC. The caption awards were just, "Oh you guys did the well during the day show."....so what? They were well-deserved captions, but meant nothing for GC. If the caption awards were given out during the night show, I'm pretty sure that LJ would've received "caption awards" since they won.

Now, these are my thoughts, and I'm NOT BASHING ANYONE. Just throwing my two cents in, so please, no nasty PMs (haha, i just spelled pms) saying that I don't know what I'm talking about. After all, it's just show choir. ;)

Oh, oops! I thought I knew who you were talking about because you said the name in your post! I'm not sure why I assumed that's who you were talking about.

And One lone judge added for finals took them all the way down to 2nd place. I'm pretty sure this judge just likes to see the big names fail, And if i remember right he's a former "First Edition" (lafeyette Jefferson). So obviously they should have beaten FC with no captions.

if i remember right, Lafayette Jeff won, but didn't get any captions, Franklin Central had best choreo, and Carroll had best vocals and the scores were uber tight....it was kinda crappy that Lafayette Jeff won when they obviously shoudln't have...but alas, their name usually helps them out in the end

it was beyond crappy... Franklin central was over 10 points ahead (max soup i just checked my facts) going into finals... every judge scored them higher in finals than prelims, And One lone judge added for finals took them all the way down to 2nd place. The Same judge that Screwed Totino grace over this year actually. I'm pretty sure this judge just likes to see the big names fail, And if i remember right he's a former "First Edition" (lafeyette Jefferson). So obviously they should have beaten FC with no captions.

I don't have the complete list in front of me, but there are some great choirs coming. The ones I can remember include Norwell, Southmont, Pike, Churubusco, Huntington North, Lafayette Jefferson, Zionsville, Maconaquah, Triton, Highland, Bluffton, Fairfield, Bellmont, Garrett, Prospect, Northside. I can't think of the others off the top of my head. There is a school from Alabama and one from somewhere else down south that just inquired whether there was still room for more. Plus there are a bunch of Indiana and Ohio middle school choirs coming too.

my guess is that the one from alabama is albertville...they do quite a bit of northern travel

This could be like HN was last year (at least I think it was HN). The opposite competition to state. Have all the top groups that don't really like ISSMA. Like Z-ville, HN, and LJ. Should be real interesting.
