Does anyone know if this competition is full yet?
You can try to contact our director. I don't think we're full yet. Originally they closed registration at the end of January. But if you can get ahold of them and get stuff in quick they may still let you in. His contact info is:
Alan L. Alder

(765) 641-2037 ext. 2031 Office
Lawrence Central
Huntington North
Churubusco
Edgewood
Bishop Luers
Carrol
And a girls group from Michigan who I'm not sure who it is.
The judges are:
Debbi Andis
Rick Seaver
Sean Porter
Lawrence Fitz
^^ All for prelims ^^
Maria Rivers will be judging the solo competition and then added for finals.
There will also be another judge added for Outstanding Performer who has not been named yet.
I will keep you all informed as I get more information.
Anderson High School will be hosting the first ever Atown Showdown on March 24, 2007. There are already 16 groups attending from schools like Edgewood, Carroll, Lawrence Central, Columbia City, and others. I would like to let you know that we are still allowing more groups to join us. For more information you can contact me and I can make sure that information is mailed to you. It's sure to be a fun competition. Anderson kids are known for having the funnest homeroom at competitions. When I learn more information I will pass it along such as how many groups in finals and such. I'm pretty sure we're taking 5 mixed and 5 girls, but I'm not completely sure. I'm also told judges will be Rick Seaver, Debbie Andis, Lawrence Fitz, and one other during the day. Maria Rivers will be judging the solo competition and then added to the judging panel for finals.
I'm excited for this one. When I was in Singers we didn't do this, talked about it but never happened until now so this is goin to be a great competition!

Music Warehouse will be making its first trip since going to Highland in 2003.
Last time we went to Anderson we got snowed in and almost had to stay in Anderson for the night.
haha that was a fun night.... luckily we have not had a winter that bad since then...
