the sixth spot doesn't go to the winner of class a, they do an exhibition show before finals.
as far as caption awards, we give the typical ones:
Best Vocals
Best Combo/Insturmentals
Best Choreography
i dont believe there is a best stage award, and there definately isn't a spirit award. haha.
thats weird that the time slot of the competition got moved, or at least Westoshas show time. i may need to check up on that.
about our competition:
well, its fabulous. food wise we have a culvers custard stand, excellent spaghetti dinner in the afternoon, wide variety of baked goodies, java stand that sells anything from italian sodas to carmel macchiattos, and other yums. I believe we may sell flowers but im not too certain on that one. we make our library into an offical "Nap Room" which you can find very easily because its down one of the main halls with a huge sign that says "Nap Room" hah. we provide cots and darkness for the best sleeping of your life. the class a groups warm up in our band room and will be performing in the River Arts Center. If people are looking forward to seeing Class A groups, thats where they'll be, remember to support them too! Open Class warms up in our chorus room which is fully equipped with a nice dance floor and probably the best mirrors ive seen in a chorus room! no one will miss our Risk poster on the wall which is our pride possession and is what we live by. Open class groups will store their stuff in the North Gym which is the newer of the two. They perform in the South Gym/Varisty Gym.
theres just a little jist of details for ya. we hope to make this one of your favorite competitions of the season and i will never stop saying that i look forward to seeing you.
if you spot me in a crowd, come say hi! my name is alyssa and yes, you can ask "hey are you miss buddaha?!" cause i will know what you're talking about.
ciao
is there a seperate division for girls groups, or is class A both mixed and girls groups?

Addressing the finalist issue...the judges choose 6 Open Class finalist to compete in the finals and the Grand Champion of Class A performs in exhibitions before the start of the final round.
I'm really excited to see Mundelein. They always have really great vocals and their show is always something fresh to look at compared to most other choirs. I didn't get to watch them live last year so I'm really hoping I can make it into the gym for them this season.
im seriously freakin excited, with all these big names there, the talent alone with blow the roof off the building. can anybody fill me in on the competition a little bit?
I will be attending this competition with our girls group since MWE is not. I'm so excited!
My predictions: (In no order)
-Onalaska Hiltopper
-Central GCS
-Logan Class Act
-Mayville Cardinal Singers
-Waconia Power Company
-And sixth spot I believe goes to the winner of class a/girls group.. so I'm hoping it's Holmen's very own Midwest Magic... for the 3rd year hopefully...last year we swept 1st in girls and took all awards, and 2 years ago, Midwest Momentum took first in A and all awards...
Reasoning-
Ona- I have seen your show twice this year, impressive as always.
GCS- Have not seen you yet, but you never fail to impress me!
Logan- You guys have improved so much this year. I watched you on tv at Ona which doesnt do justice but I liked what I saw. Only down fall was no costume change which may hurt your placing.
-Mayville- I watched you at Milton this weekend, and I absolutly loved your theme. Your closer is so awesome. Loved your African-ish dance break.. Can never go wrong with Lion King
-And Waconia due to prior years. They always have a strong competition show.
-MWM obviously because I love you and I wanna win best tech crew!
I think this competition is going to be amazing.. I can't wait for a show down between the 3 LaCrosse area schools.. Ona, GCS, and Logan... I really wish Midwest Express was there to top off the full list of local schools, but that is not up to me I guess.
I'm so excited to see you all this weekend! Good Luck to all!
