Last year there was the dueling Golden Fiddle shows. This year features two Back To The Future shows with Noblesville and Oak Mountain. Both have some great special effects/set pieces. NHS Singers seem to draw more on the new BTTF musical, while Oak Mountain Singers show is very similar, a near replica, to the Fairfield Choraliers 2014 show. It's a great theme; so much nostalgia. Good luck Marty & Doc! (and all the other stellar choirs performing this morning!)

Grenada over Center Grove is…a choice!! How did you come by that prediction? Not shaming, just curious and interested in seeing different perspectives - I would personally say CG is the clear favorite

Grenada Is my favorite group going (along with JA and Oak Mt.) call it my southern bias, but I've also seen CG in person! Gonna be such a fun competition to watch.

How dare anyone question my vast knowledge and expertise on all things show choir!?! Just kidding

No, I agree that CG is the favorite. They have been tested this year (arguably like no other choir) and have met every one with flying colors. So maybe I'm seeing Grenada as an underdog that has a chance at taking this. Who says a little March Madness can't extend to the show choir world? Now, I'm using the term "underdog" just in relation to CG's stellar resume. But Grenada has been tested as well this year (splitting with Brandon, second to Clinton Attache). Also, the last time CG was at SCN was 2019, which means none of them have performed on the Opry stage. While Grenada was last here in 2022 so some of them probably have some experience with this event, which might count for something. There was also probably some recency bias in my rankings since I had just watched a video of Grenada's show when I made them.

So maybe I'm just overthinking it and the favorite will win out. But the discussion is fun and I know all these choirs are going to give everything they have, which only makes it fun for those of us who get to witness it.

unfortunately this comp never has a livestream, but most of the shows performed at the Opry can be found on YouTube after the comp is over

I can see Grenada and Glenwood making finals here. I can also see Fairfield and Brownsburg switching. But then again it is way too early to predict.
