Pure Elegance was to perform at 5:00. I find it repulsive when these festivals run so far behind schedule. If today’s groups need more time due to massive sets and electronics, then festival planners should adjust their times and penalizes those that run over.
Many show choir competitions run behind, and crystal in particular has really improved with their timeliness over the past few years (2019 was particularly behind).
Generally, groups are indeed timed and penalized if they run over. I'm not sure how severe these penalties are, but they do exist.
When you have 10+ groups performing in one venue over many hours, without a professional crew, running behind is kind of inevitable. I think that the delays probably stress out the organizers just as much as they stress us out.
My comment was not directed directly toward you or your competition even though, as I look at it now, it did come across that way. I was involved in competitive show choir for many years. My point is, show choirs have evolved over the years and have become bigger with more set up time required. Competitions have not changed and are still running on the 30-minute time schedule. I believe it's time for show choir competitions to change their time schedules to accommodate today's choirs.

I wish this had been posted earlier. I definitely would have ordered something for my kid since I wasn't able to travel and chaperone this time. I think it's fantastic you offer online "gift" sales for the kids, though.
This was new to us this year, we will definitely get it out earlier next year! All the items will be available for purchase during Crystal, except a team logo frame. However there will frames that have the Crystal Classic logo on them available!
A draft of the current performance schedule is posted. As usual, Crystal Classic is a two-competitions-under-one-roof type of contest: Mixed Tier III (small mixed), Treble Tier II (small treble), and Middle School divisions will be in the Auditorium. Mixed Tier I (large mixed), Mixed Tier II (medium mixed), and Treble Tier I (large treble) are all in the Arena. Each venue will have its own set of finals and will take 6 groups.
So if I read that right, all six Tier 1 choirs (including the two Treble Tier I's) automatically qualify for finals. And the 11 groups in Tier II, Tier III, & Treble II/III will all be competing for six spots in a separate finals??
I think you might've missed that Mixed Tier II (medium mixed) is in the Arena and eligible for the Arena Finals. None of the Mixed Tier I choirs are automatically in finals, although I'm sure they have a high likelihood of qualifying.
I'm not sure about Auditorium Finals. What they currently have posted on their schedule doesn't add up numbers wise. Not sure what their plan is, so I'll let Fairfield folks answer that one.
In the arena, the Tier 1, Tier 2 mixed and Tier 1 treble will compete for 6 final spots. The 5 Tier 3 and 2 Tier 2 Treble will compete for finals spots in the PAC. This was originally planned when we had a few more small mixed competing. MS groups are not being considered for finals.
