1. With the win tonight, Homewood has now won every currently hosted contest in the state of Alabama.
2. They have also put two different groups in finals at every contest, except Tallassee (note: Network and Associate have both made finals at Opelika, but not together).
3. This is the first contest where Homewood put two groups in finals, and the second group placed higher than fifth (or sixth if there were six groups). It is not the first time that the second group was higher than that in prelims.
Continuum has some great moments in their show, but I don’t see them beating Vestavia (who beat Petal Innovations last weekend). If there are six finalists, then there is certainly a good chance of having three groups.
I think the bigger question is whether Homewood can sweep and get Nexus in second place. Nexus was the most consistent group at JASI (even more consistent than Network), and I think it’ll be interesting to see just how much success they can have competing with large mixed groups.
Haven’t been able to find a full list of groups or schedule, but from what I’ve gathered, Homewood, Prep, Enterprise, and Spain Park all appear to be going.
