Judges should be able to put aside any bias and give constructive criticism. I don’t think so, no. If that were to happen or scoring was off in weird ways, I’m sure something would be mentioned. Rest assured, Platte County always host a great competition and we should be confident that the scores and placements are equivalent to the performances given on stage.
Thank you for responding. Unfortunately fairly this was not an isolated incident to this specific competition. Nothing directly specifically to Platte Co.
I hope in the future those people would self-identify or the host schools would not include them as judges by seeking their affiliations.. It eliminates any questions or the possibility of negative assumptions. In other extra-curricular activities conflicts of interests are avoided just for these reasons alone.
They’ll take 5 finalists! Final performances are every 30 minutes starting at 7:30pm. Awards are expected to be at 10pm but we all know we are running on show choir time
Season is winding down…all of these choirs, in fact, all of Missouri choirs, stepped it up this year and it really shows!
Congratulations to all in advance.
