Thanks! I actually graduated last year and now I’m a vocal coach, so I wasn’t competing this time around. InSync was indeed 1920s!

As announced from the stage, Rowland did place 2nd in Intermediate Mixed and Los Altos placed 3rd. An exported PDF of the tabulations had those placements incorrectly reversed. We deeply regret the error and pass along our apologies to both groups and their directors for any confusion.
Many thanks,
Mark Myers
Contest Director

Fun fact: Mark Myers (former director at Waubonsie Valley High School) is now directing Esperanza's show choir. I'm not sure if his group plans on competing, but if they do, watch out for them in the future.

Update: they will be competing this season! According to their website, they'll be at Burbank, Hart, and Los Alamitos.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up in tier 1 for their mixed group this season

Given how brea is under a new director and she seems to be taking masquerade in a different direction I could see a close call between Burbank and brea

Also with jfk that director is very talented so I’m excited to see more groups in Cali hit tier 1 I love Los Al , Burbank and Burroughs but is always fun when new comers enter the mix.

Looks like jfk is jumping to tier 1 in mixed and advanced women’s for their women’s group. Wonder if they will compete at a game or HOA event this year
