I believe Carmel Accents was originally awarded Best Band, but Carmel pointed out that they shouldn't have been eligible (because some of their band are paid non-students?). So that correction was announced at finals awards and FC High Voltage won it.

I was there for prelims yesterday and am literally still reeling from FC’s performance. There was no doubt in my mind that they would be walking away with the vocal caption. I don’t know how their vocals just keep getting better year after year, but they’re just unbelievable this year. The sound is so rich and colorful and stylistically appropriate. The ballad this year I think is better than the legendary 2018 show’s - chills throughout. They are going to have a tremendous year.
Whoa! CG, Carmel, North Central, and FC Singers all at one competition? Easily some of the best-singing groups in the nation! That vocal caption is a HUGE tossup. Good luck to all!

reminds me of a comp at CG in 07 or 08 but this is much more stacked
nc, lc (when we/they were a top group consistently) finals were announced while typing. And the sheer joy I have for CS is wild to me but its been a few hard years for them.

While I am sure that you are disappointed, schools have no obligation to livestream their competitions. Some don't want to deal with securing all the copyrights. Some don't want to deal with the costs of bringing in professional equipment to do it. Some want to encourage in-person ticket sales by not livestreaming. Regardless of the reason, livestreams are a privilege and not a right. Be thankful for the ones you have, and perhaps one of the CG parents will run their own video for the performance.
