Hello Everyone! My official review for this competition can be found in the 5th episode of "Southern Shows". Hope you enjoy, and congrats to all the groups who competed!

If I'm not mistaken, Clinton has now tied their best consecutive win streak at 22, which last ran from 2001-2008. Next week, they have the chance to set a new record when they compete in Biloxi, MS

“Have the chance”……. They’re gonna win by 60+ next week. If Burroughs, Los Al, or Burbank were there, then maybe they could lose, but even that’s a stretch. This year’s Attaché looked pretty solid at West Jones.

They already beat their streak. It was 21, now it's 22!

Probably poor word choice on my part. It seems the Attaché win streak will remain intact next week. I also did verify on their website that their longest win streak was in fact 22 so they have tied it.

I found the quirk: on this website the Petal competition from 2003 was listed as a "non-competitive event", but it wasn't and Clinton won there

It's not that it's listed as a non-competitive event; it's that we don't have the full final results from Petal 2003.

If only facebook existed back then, I'd be willing to dig to find out haha

Maybe it was just the livestream, but it doesn't feel to me like Clinton has that usual "intimidating" vocal sound this year.

Last minute Tier 1 predictions:

1st place- Clinton (sweep)
2nd place- Grenada
3rd place- Jackson Prep
4th place- Northwest Rankin

2nd-4th place could go any way, but I have a feeling Grenada will show up and show out today. After not making finals at Homewood, I'm sure they've been working like crazy.

Personally I could see this comp going any which way in the large division. Each group brings their own unique skill to the table. I can’t say for certain who I think will place where but I do believe the caption awards could be split between the three of them. I could see NWR getting Vocals, Jackson Prep getting choreography, and Grenada will show design. I’m sure it’ll be a fun competition though.

Predictions
Tier I
Attaché (Sweep)
NWR
Jackson Prep
Grenada

Tier III
Clinton Christian Academy (sweep)
Pisgah
Warren Central

As for Tier III, I anticipate (yet again) a strong showing from CCA. They had a bit of a fall from grace last weekend, but If I'm not mistaken none of these groups have beat them thus far in this division. That being said, the gap at Petal between CCA and Warren Central was not that far. CCA needs to expand the gap further in choreography and especially vocals/show design If they hope to prevent an upset. Warren Central needs to maintain the strong connective show design score they had over the weekend(I believe they placed higher than CCA in Show Design), while bolstering their choreography - just a few fixes here and there can put them within close range of their 2nd win this season.

I will update these predictions after(if) some developments I've been following are verified

best of luck to all competitors :}

EDIT - I told you all I would update this if some developments I was following got verified, and they did. Clinton Attaché will be attending this event. Predictions adjusted.

Jackson Prep nabbed best choreo away from Broken Arrow at Lone Star. I have a hard time believing that they're not going to get the choreo caption here... jmo. But I'm sure you have more experience watching the other two this year than I do! Would be cool to see NWR score two of three captions.

Oh man they must've been really close to winning then! That's awesome of them to travel to TX and represent show choir in Mississippi like that. I'm pretty sure that competition matched West Jones for the most show choirs attending at 31. It's no small feat to be successful there.

Hey Bradley, Just wondering but do you have a friend named Deen? Cause you look and your name is familiar
