Franklin Central is the perfect example of a Covid slaying show choir. No matter the circumstances of everything that this past year has brought us, they dominate on the stage. Even with the masks, I think that this is one of the best years they've ever had. They are just absolutely stunning, amazing job.

Adding a 3rd voice of agreement. This is easily my favorite FC set. The ballad is just spectacular.

That ballad. That soloist. That arrangement. The soloist conducting the choir. Genius.

So proud of Singers. Best Singers group in a long time, imho. They just get so much better every week. Its the singers way

Some thoughts before awards begin: I am not envious of the job the judges have been tasked with. Everyone brought their A game and I honestly have no idea how this is gonna shake out. FC was stunning as always, I am envious of the girls in FC Singers, as I absolutely ADORE that red dress they wear in the opener. Also super sad Lafayette Jefferson hasn't been competing more this season!! Their show was so good!! Everyone that competed today did incredible, this was probably one of my favorite competitions to watch this season.

Carmel's choreo was CRISP! Loved it, but I can't help but wonder... both the middle and high school did "bright side of life" from Spamalot, was that intentional or just a happy accident? either way, loved their performances this evening. Im behind on the live stream, but I'm excited to watch FC !

Hi.. Class Act (MS) member here! To my knowledge.. I don't think it was intentional, not for sure though..

There are videos of Carmel and FC singers on YouTube. Their 2021 shows. Both solid shows.

No doubt in my mind it’ll be an FC win with the vocal caption. Choreo could go either way it’s a Dwight jordan vs Jarad/Tori situation lol not something I’d want to judge.

I’d also like to say singers has the best ballad I’ve ever heard. It’s such a stark difference from the actual song but arranged and sung so well. I’ve cried each time.

Predictions

Mixed Tier 1
GC: Carmel Ambassadors
1RU: Franklin Central F.C. Singers
2RU: Lafayette Jefferson First Edition

Wowza. There will be a showdown between FC and Carmel tomorrow and I will most definitely be watching! Both of these groups are some of the best in Indiana (I say some because there are so many amazing groups here, these are just a couple off a long list), and they consistently win Grand Champion titles. Now FC may have a slight upper hand since they've been out competing this season (and they're undefeated!), but Carmel is one of those groups that could just come right out and blow it out of the water. I have a feeling caption awards will be split among the groups, and honestly FC could pull off the victory. I'm also excited because as I was looking up Lafayette Jefferson and Whiteland, I found out these two groups have never competed against one another (or at least not recently enough to where it's on the compare tool)! So really 2RU could be anyone's game. What a division!!

Mixed Tier 2
GC: Franklin Central Encores
1RU: Beech Grove Jubilaires
2RU: New Prairie Innovation

This is really anyone's game and I feel like come awards tomorrow night I could be feeling totally different. FC's department as a whole is incredibly strong, so I have them as winning GC. But again, they haven't competed yet this year so maybe that will change after watching all the other groups. We shall see!!

Single-Gender Tier 1
GC: Franklin Central High Voltage
1RU: Whiteland Community Expressions

FC should have this one pretty well in the bag. They've only come in 2nd once this season, and it was to Fishers Sound. Since Fishers isn't at this competition I see no reason why High Voltage can't take home another win

Single-Gender Tier 2
GC: Southmont Sudden Impulse
1RU: Beech Grove Elan & Co
2RU: New Prairie Sing Sensation

Caption awards might be split in this division. I'm going off of placements from this season's past competitions and also years past. It looks like Southmont is usually able to come out on top when up against Beech Grove and New Prairie, so that's why I have them up top.

Middle School Division
GC: Carmel Class Act
1RU: Noblesville East Vocal Revolution

I know people don't seem to talk about the world of competitive middle school show choir, but dang this will be SUCH a good division to watch! These two groups are always going back and forth for GC and 1RU placements, and while they are the only two groups in this division this week, I have a feeling they would be the top 2 anyways.

As always, best of luck to ALL the groups competing this weekend. I'm so excited to watch how this shakes out
