It seems that they scored everyone here. It appears that Northeast Jones 'Gold Horizons' were awarded First Place in the Middle Mixed Division and received Third overall. I do not have any other placements at this time.
I have some A's to the Q's here (via Dr. Tyson). The Mississippi State Contest was indeed a non-competitive evaluation-style event this year. Neither placements nor captions were awarded to participating choirs. There were judges for feedback and score sheets were sent to directors. Directors may very well have shared score sheets with their students and that's where the conversation around 'placement' stemmed from. Since placements are not in the spirit of this event, we'll keep the page listed as non-competitive. Hope that clears it up!
They performed last, right after Petal. I don't know the exact time, I just heard my live stream announce that they were performing so I caught them by chance (and they were quite good I might add).
This year's Mississippi State Contest is taking the shape of an evaluation/clinic. There will be a live stream and it'll cost $12 for all day access. https://prccmedia.com/
In addition to the schedule, there are a few performances of acapella and elementary school choirs which we do not formally track on SCC, so I'll include those below:
1:00 pm - Oak Grove "SPECTRA"
1:25 pm - Richland "VocalRiot"
2:25 pm - Petal "Pizzazz"
