Tonight's schedule (middle school) is not the latest version, just FYI in case anyone is going tonight to support specific groups. I wish I had it in front of me to share....anyone?
Just updated it above, per the Great River website. It looks like it's still the same 9 middle schools as originally planned, just times and order were slightly adjusted.
I ain't dissing your picks on placements, honestly anything can happen at a comp and it could end with these placements. I've just never seen a group get the big 3 captions and get 2nd. Like, groups get 2 of the big captions and can get 2nd or sometimes get none and still win. Take Sioux City East "Headliners", everyone went crazy after they didn't win, even though they got 2 of the big 3. But, if a group were to sweep the big 3 that probably means they were the best group at the event, generally speaking, considering they have the trophies for best vocals, choreography, and band. If the captions were more spread out, then I could see it, but I just don't think it's feasibly possible for a group to sweep and not win, not without the points being ridiculously close, like by a half point. If this did happen, it would probably go down in history as one of the most shocking results around, but you never know, this year is full of surprises and you never know what can happen.
