I'd like to say, West Side still did good for this show. Even though I couldn't watch in person, I think they still did a good job, especially since this is their first competition after their first one in Onalaska was cancelled. And, they join the club of groups who have a director change, like Glenwood and La Crosse, which can always cause some disruption. I think this was a relatively close comp for some places. I don't know any other prelims or judge scorings, but I know that one judge gave them a low score at prelims, whether or not they did the same thing in finals, I can't say. But for everyone else, especially Bettendorf, this comp was amazing. It's interesting to see how everyone evolves as a group and how they did in THIS competition compared to past or nearby future comps. Congrats to everyone and I, personally, can't wait to see how much more these groups evolve in the future.
Awards just happened and finalists were announce in no particular order. I believe they said directors would be meeting afterward to draw for finalist spots. Hopefully we hear about the order soon.

I've seen Jeff, Bloomington, and Holmens shows, where I think holmen and Jeff have more complicated and better choreo, I also think Bloomington might have better vocals. But this will be an interesting comp, last week we had crazy results so I can't wait to see what this one brings.
