I was sad I couldn’t go with the rest of my Centennial peeps to Linn-mar, especially since it would’ve been our first competition

I found this video of Mr. Ziegler breaking down the finals score
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSC3t9DM7WE
It explains a lot about the scoring system that most show choir competition use. It is pretty interesting

That's a cool find, thanks for sharing. I feel like there was a weird situation last year where this system produced a really strange result, but I'd have to do some digging to remember what the specific instance was. It's difficult to find an approach that everyone is happy with. Just like everything else, that probably doesn't exist. Still, it's nice to have some transparency from a respected director especially since scores in show choir are still pretty secretive when it comes to releasing the raw data on a public level.

I honestly wish every competition released scoresheets to the public with individual group scores by judges. It would make competitions more transparent and would give the public a better sense of how competitions went down as far as scoring and placements.

Does anybody have any videos of Centennial "Spectrum" and "Eternal Rush"? If you could, please send them to my inbox! Thank you!
