Not being rude, just correcting <3 They didnt separate by gender, at least in the morning showcase. There were 50 soloists I believe and everyone was ranked. So these are actually first best and second best soloists vs best female/male!

Wow, What an absolute night. First and foremost, a HUMUNGOUS thank you to Waltham for being incredibly host this evening!! None of the magic of this event would’ve happened without all the hard work and humility put in for us all! Much love, and go Music Unlimited!!
This was my 3rd and final national competition with John Burroughs Powerhouse, and I’ve never had this much fun watching all of these amazing groups! I’m so proud of each and EVERY group who performed, and the fantastic people in them! I also wanna extend a personal congratulations on Tantasqua “ENCORE!” for their 2nd place and amazing presense! Y’all did Jerome proud!!
Sincerely, on behalf of Sound Sensations, Powerhouse, John Burroughs, and the state of California, thank you all so unbelievably much for this incredible experience! Y’all are incredible!!!!!

Powerhouse did not put on a show tonight. They put on an EXPERIENCE. I would pay any amount of money to see them again. Congratulations on a well-deserved win!!

I'm not familiar with the medals awarded. What exactly are they for?

They are awarded for tiers of raw point scores. So for example if a comp is out of 100 points, a platinum might be 90-100 points, gold 80-90 points, silver 70-80 points, and bronze below 70 points. I'm not sure what the actual tier values are, but medals are great because they give groups something to work for other than ranking. My group spent the whole season trying to get a gold medal!
