Based on these results, I know this year will be a tough one between Powerhouse and Sound FX. Good job John Burroughs!

Both shows are absolutely killer this year. I would hate to judge these two against each other. Burbank's show is also amazing from the videos I've seen. An absolutely stellar year for the three big Californian groups.

Choreography is simply that - the sequence of steps and movements of the performer. Showmanship can include staging, general effect, expression, pace of show, transitions, costuming and appearance, entertainment value and so forth (varies from scoresheet to scoresheet). In other words, everything NOT vocal. Also, at Burroughs Music Showcase for a time (still may be the case, I don't know) the choreography caption award was considered an award for the choreographer, based on the content of the choreography, not necessarily the execution. However, I don't know how this contest chooses that caption winner.

I think showmanship includes dancing, costumes, style, lighting, backdrop, props, etc. Everything visual.

There was a video, and I think it was either made private or taken down. I'll bet they are waiting for a better video, or from something later in the season.

Is there any reason you predicted Los Alamitos "Soundtrax" second? I'm not sure if it's because of Burbank, but from what I've seen Burroughs' tech crew is not equipped to handle their equipment. I would factor that into any prediction as well, considering last year they got a time penalty at this competition for that same reason.

Tier I
1st Sound FX (Showmanship, Musicianship)
2nd Powehouse

Tier II
1st Sound Express (Showmanship, Musicianship)
2nd G-Notes
3rd Monarch Mirage
4th Vocal Point
5th Royal Stewarts

Monarch Mirage and Vocal Point could switch because they were only they were off by 3 points at Burbank Blast.

I'll chuck in some quick half-done predictions.

For Tier 1, I see a repeat of Burbank Blast with Los Al taking first, and Powerhouse coming a close second.

Tier 2:
GC: Carlsbad
1RU: Monarch Mirage
2RU: Granada

Sound Sensations to take GC for Tier I Women's.

Schedule added. In typical Hart fashion, there are no times given for individual choirs. Instead, some of the divisions have overall start times. Those are:

3/8, 4:00pm - Middle School Mixed / Middle School Girls
3/8, 7:30pm - Women - Tier III / Mixed - Tier IV
==============================================
3/9, 8:00am - Mixed - Tier III / Women - Tier II
3/9, 2:00pm - Women - Tier I / Men
3/9, 7:00pm - Mixed - Tier II / Mixed - Tier I
