Decatur Central had too many sick kids and had to cancel yesterday.

Just left competition and someone put middle school standings in wrong order. Wood side/Summit was the grand champions.

No worries it's now updated. We were going off of a NC tweet which they later corrected. Of course, congrats to Woodside/Summit on another win!

Predictions:
Mixed Finals:
GC: Carroll "Minstrel Magic"
1RU: Zionsville "Royalaires"
2RU: Franklin Community "Heritage Singers"
3RU: Lawrence Central "Central Sound"

Mixed Tier Two:
1st: Crawfordsville Sr "Dynamic Expression"

Women's Finals:
1st: Zionsville "Choralaires"
2nd: Carroll "Select Sound"
3rd: Franklin Community "Sensations"
4th: Lawrence Central "Sweet Sensations"

Middle School:
1st: Woodside/Summit "Class Act"
2nd: Noblesville West "West Side Sound"
3rd: Franklin Community "Velocity"
4th: Franklin Community "Radiance"
5th: Belzer "Sound"

I think Carroll might shake Zionsville's ground here; I'm guessing these two schools will be a lot closer in score than what most are expecting. Along with that, I think it will be really interesting to see how the Woodside v. Noblesville West battle plays out; both of these middle schools regularly perform very well.

I agree with most of this, but I think it will be hard for Carroll to take vocals from Zionsville, I also could definitely see Franklin Community in the fight between these two. I also think that Select Sound will have to work hard this week to take choreography from Zionsville. Zionsville has proven that they are one of, If not the most dominant girls group on the circuit this year.

It'll be really interesting to see how this one turns out. Minstrel Magic has been rocking it this year. I don't know if there's an answer to be found on this, but can the same school win best band for both divisions at this competition? It seems consistent that it's always two different schools to win at this particular competition, which would honestly make sense because most schools only have one band. There are some other rock solid student bands at this competition too, so it'll be interesting to see where that caption goes.

Mixed Finals
GC: Zionsville (BB)(BV)
1RU: Carroll (BC)
2RU: Franklin Community
3RU: Lawrence Central
Both Zionsville and Carroll are amazing and both have beaten amazing groups (Beavercreek and tieing for best vocals with Franklin Central ) (Central Grove and Waubonsie Valley ) so, I believe that it is going to be really close.

Hi there,

We didn't receive a schedule with the middle school groups in attendance or their performance times, but would be happy to add them if someone would like to provide that information!

Thanks for the update. One issue. The performance list of schools I just got has Noblesville West instead of East. I'm not sure which is correct.

Jeff. on Feb 21, 2019, 9:55 PM

You're correct - it's Noblesville West.
