BURBANK BLAST... INTERMEDIATE WOMENS DIVISION 1st place winner Granada Hills, 2nd place Los Alamitos, 3rd place Hart, 4th place John Burroughs, 5th place Boulder Creek! Congratulations
I wouldn't be surprised if powerhouse came out on top. from what ive seen from the livestream of their popshow, they have such an incredible show this year. the costumes, the choreo, and the VOCALS (that ballad... oh my god) are just so good this year. definitely my favorite show they have done in years.
Tier I Predictions:
GC: Los Al Sound FX - Showmanship
1RU: John Burroughs Powerhouse - Musicianship
2RU: Waconia Power Company
I'm really excited to see how Waconia does against California show choirs. Wishing all groups the best of luck this weekend!
In Sync and Impressions have host performances on Friday night. It doesn't appear from the schedule Randy posted that they'll perform Saturday night (Sunday morning).
Predictions!!!
Tier II
GC- Mt. Eden (BM) (BS)
1RU- Carlsbad
2RU- Bonita Vista
3RU- Hart
I only ranked these 4 choirs because these are the choirs who I think should be competing tier I. Both Los Alamitos and Powerhouse have clear displayed how they can pretty much beat anyone from the rest of the country (except Clinton), but I think the real competition would be between Waconia and these 4 from tier 2. I recently watched the Mt. Eden show from last year, and I thought that it was very strong. Carlsbad had an amazing season in 2017, and if they have another year like that then they could be very competitive with Waconia. Hart and Bonita Vista are two of the most consistent groups in the tier 2 division in California, so I'm sure they would put up a fight against Waconia.
I think as far as mixed tier one goes
GC- Los Alamitos (BS)
1RU- Powerhouse
2RU- Waconia
I don't really know who best musicianship will go to, but I'm confident that Los Al will take the show caption like they usually do.
