GC- Petal (BV, BC): I foresee this being a tough one. Petal is a long-standing powerhouse in the south with a whopper of a show this year. This raw talent and precision of this show is one that truly deserves mounds of respect.
1st RU- Grenada (Show Design): After last year’s low for Grenada they have come back with a fire. One more obvious than that of Petal. The kids at Grenada have more on the line as this could be their 3rd GC this season. If they could fix the very little wrong in their show I could see this going either way for both Petal and Grenada. A little advice to Grenada try to add a little more dynamic change in your vocals. It can carry the show a long way.
2nd RU- Jackson Academy: This show is very close to my heart as many of my friends are in this show. Latham Nance and Reese Anderson kill as the leads of this show. Mrs. Amy Whittenton is a killer director and Choreographers Kevin Chase and Nick Quamme are god-tier when it comes to visuals. The students give their all in this show and really go all out. To the judge that said their show was too dark, it has a happy ending lol!
3rd RU- Jackson Prep: The Two peat was awesome but the streak might be over for this group I truly believe they can up their game this weekend. Sadly, last weekend they had a few people sick and it was quite obvious. I love the theme and the opener is killer! Hope they can bring it this weekend.
4th RU- Madison Central/Northeast Jones: It's a toss-up! Both groups in my opinion are on an even playing field. Neither made it to finals the last time they faced up against one another and I believe that will fire them up for this competition. Jackson Prep might want to watch out in case either group has really stepped up their game for this weekend!
I truly believe this weekend will be one for the books. Can Petal end Grenada's 2 GC streak or will Grenada upset one of the best groups in the nation? Just in the next state over at the Jasper Foothills Show Choir Classic Auburn and Clinton will be going head to head! Truly a weekend to remember in the southern show choir circuit! I cannot wait to see all the amazing groups and GOOD LUCK to everyone competing!
Predictions: (i'm gonna be wrong but why not)
GC - Petal (BV, BC) (my personal opinion had them over Homewood last weekend after watching both groups)
1st RU - Grenada (show design) (the show is phenomenal very possible they knock off petal)
2nd RU - Jackson Academy (I've never been a fan of having lead characters in a show until seeing Latham put in work this year)
3rd RU - Jackson Prep (the streak of 5th in finals ends this weekend)
4th RU - Madison Central (pulling for them to make their first finals appearance of the season this weekend)
Ooh I hope this gets streamed. I’ve fallen for Grenada this season. It would have been amazing if Clinton was also here. Petal, Ckinton, Grenada??! Whew.
This will be an interesting showdown between Grenada and Petal.. both have incredible shows this year. Jackson Academy could also cause an upset here, their show is amazing.

Thanks for posting. Dang, this is a stacked line-up in almost every division. Looks like some folks that normally go to Homewood are traveling over to West Jones due to the Homewood renovation. Seriously, that's a huge middle school line-up too!
I'm also guessing this, like almost every other Southern competition schedule it seems, will receive a revision with the Purvis switch to small mixed.
