I did just notice a small typo/error for this competition: Jay County Just Treble actually placed 2nd in the finals competition for tier 2. There was a small scoring miscalculation that Franklin Community very quickly fixed.

There were many quality groups to see (and I was in the gym all day!).

Special shoutout to Roncalli. I loved your show (it’s the first time I had seen it this year).

The Franklin show was amazing. The quality of the lineup definitely drew show choir fans o the event. The people at Franklin seemed to be overwhelmed at the attendance this year but worked hard to keep spectators happy. I'm sure they will probably work at having better audio feeds to go with the video they offered in several places. The solution to let choir parents have first dibs on seats was great. I was unhappily sitting thinking I wouldn't see my daughter perform when a young man walked by asking if there were Loveland parents. They let us in first to see our group. I left after our group so other parents could see their children. Thank you to all the Franklin staff and volunteers. I had a wonderful day.

Oy. How'd they get so far behind? Is there still a Franklin Community host performance before final awards or were those all during the daytime?

That hasn't happened yet. Noblesville just finished. Periodically, the auditorium had to be purged.

I just watched the events get read off. I’m in association with the people in Soundwave and I was in a FaceTime call when those awards were given

Franklin Central is just now going on. It’ll be another 30-45 minutes before results are announced

Too many choirs booked for the venue. Extremely unhappy spectators not “allowed” to see any other choirs other than the one they were associated with. Exhibition performances cancelled due to time mismanagement.

Some of the parents were very funny to watch. I know not everyone is familiar with the size of Franklin Community's PAC, but there was no need for people to start using volume louder than their "inside voices" with the Franklin Community parent volunteers.

If paying spectators were not allowed to see all of the choirs, I can understand why they were angry. Were people offered refunds? The whole competition sounds like a disaster.

I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt. This is a very new competition and kinks take time to work out. Competitions 25+ years old are disastrous sometimes, and that’s one of the cons to hosting an event as large as this one. Auditorium space is minimal in a lot of high schools and that’s a difficult task at that ticket booth. I’m sure there were issues in communication from the comments I’ve seen but I would like to go out of a limb and say the *whole* competition was unlikely a disaster.

Will there be a live feed?

Sadly, no. The tech crew gave it a shot last night, but something about the security settings in the school’s wi-fi blocked the outgoing stream.
