I was going to hold off on predictions, but Ill just edit this after Jackson Prep hosts its' competition. ALSO IM DOING DETAILED PREDICTIONS FROM NOW ON - I'm tired of seeing ranks without any explanation, I'm here to waste the time of a show choir lover who needs a reason to ignore their homework. anyway,
Grand Champion: Brandon (SWEEP) - The reason I have them over prep is because Brandon's placings were extremely consistent last year. Although Prep managed to get them twice, Brio bested them later on in the season. The question is, can they start their season out as strong as they ended it?
1RU: Jackson Prep - It is HIGHLY possible that this group may place over Brandon as they tend to fare better at their first competitions. Wonderful group.
2RU: Madison Central - This group had a great year last year! Will they take another step forward?
3RU: Grenada - Ever since the Grenada's 2016 Show 'Forever Falling', (Where they cemented themselves as a force to be reckoned with) they've had a rough go of it. Highly likely that last year lit a fire under these brilliant kids.
4RU: West Jones - HIGHLY POSSIBLE that this group will come out of no where and shake this competition.
I wouldn't be surprised if NW Rankin or NE Jones earned a spot in finals. Two shows that I really enjoyed last year. Mississippi has some Incredibly strong Tier II groups that often pour into finals and even win them (as such in cases like purvis last year which NE Jones home the gold for). I'm looking forward to this comp! can't wait to see some singing and dancing.
I'd like to note that it's rather difficult for me to predict this seeing as every single program competing in large division is the same caliber. Once again I'll present a more accurate prediction once I am able to see majority of these groups in person. (at prep).
GC: Grenada (Sweep)
Okay I tried, I literally can't predict anything else.
It's a toss up between West Jones, Brandon, MC, NWR, NE Jones, and Prep
I have not seen NE Jones, Brandon, or West Jones so I'm excited for that.
