As with most of your posts asking if an event is happening, the answer is yes Jerry. This festival is happening.
While we have (and do) receive a lot of submissions by directors/students, we can't force folks to submit information, so when some don't it usually just takes some research on the Crew's end and we do a pretty good job updating the event title to "CANCELLED" if one doesn't actually happen. Most of the ones you're commenting on are non-competitive show choir events and/or show choir events that are just lesser known, and thus less conversation surrounding them. Nonetheless, they happen and exist and are part of the show choir community, so we'll post them on our events list... even if we have dreaded blank pages.
Thanks for the up-date. Like I mentioned before, I'm just trying to keep up with all of the new names of the groups who are actually appearing on the stage.
Not a problem. I don't take issue with your posts - I know you have your ranking thing. Likewise, I spend an unbelievable amount of time and effort putting together each year's event list and it's a bummer when we can't get information for them. I have done direct outreach to directors for some smaller events and, for reasons unbeknownst to me, they don't always respond. 9 times out of 10 these events are totally happening, it's just challenging to get info on them. *Note, all this talk, Sweetwater was actually one of the easier ones as they have all their info online. This, sadly, isn't the case most of the time.
