Bemidji will no longer be attending this competition due to weather.
We just got the order from our superintendent.
That's a shame... (and then I just answered my own question about Bemidji going to Hastings, lol! Note to self: read ALL threads first before posting...)

Wow this is going to be a great competition. The six in finals will without a doubt, battle it out for that coveted grand champion spot, but it will be VERY difficult. 4 of the 6 groups have a GC this season so far, 4 out of 6 have a Best Choreography caption, 4 out of 6 have a Best Band caption and all 6 have won a Best Vocals caption this year, wow. While Onalaska is known for doing exceptionally well, their competition circuit hasn't included an Iowa competition since 2013, so I'm interested to see how they fare against some of the top groups in the state. I had the chance to see Waukee at Showzam, and then at Urbandale and man have they improved a ton; really just an amazing performance and show all together. Prairie also has a "Clue" themed show this year which is very special and fun to watch. I had the chance to see them at Waukee after the fire alarm went off and I loved them a lot. As for the other three, I haven't had the opportunity to see their shows this year, but I do know that they are all fantastic groups!
In the end, I think Waukee will pull ahead and take the GC. Their drive and passion is so amazing and I think even though their record this year is not the most reputable, they have made tons of improvements and will be able to come home with a win. I'll be at Hastings when this comp happens, so I'm excited to see how it goes. Again, my predictions are nothing reflective of the abilities and talents of any groups, they're just MY PERSONAL OPINIONS. Best of luck to all competing choirs!
Onalaska is undefeated so far but these schools all have something amazing to bring. I could definitely see Onalaska and Waukee switching places too. Good luck to my pals in Hilltoppers and all competing (:
