I believe the last time Johnston / Ankeny C competed, Johnston won (in 2015). They both have extremely successful track records competing against great schools. I'd also agree with the BV going to Johnston and BC to Ankeny.
This Johnston/Centennial matchup is going to be insane. I would say this is a showdown between potentially the two best groups in the midwest this year, in my opinion.

This competition is going to be a bloodbath, and I can't imagine how it will be in the end. Good luck to those competing, and as an alumni, and now a member of the University of Nebraska's Big Red Singers, show choir never fails to give me a smile.

It's really tough to decide those last few finals spots. Should be interesting to see how it all ends up because this is an incredible lineup! I got the privilege of seeing both Johnston and Ankeny this past weekend and both of them were performing at an incredibly high level. Sioux City East really caught my eye last season with their high energy and their band. Waukee has always put on some of my favorite shows from year to year. Millard West and Lincoln Southwest are going to show why we're so proud of what we have in Nebraska, as they are consistently putting out quality shows. Can't wait to see how everything turns out on competition day!!

I know that I'm forgetting a couple, but this is one competition I am very much looking forward to. This will be the second time that the Big 4 Des Moines schools will meet up at one of their competitions (the first being at Johnston) and then you throw in two prominent Nebraska schools along with Mitchell under an awesome new director and Sioux City East who has been RISING, this is gonna be one SOLID competition.
Take out Kennedy and add Davenport Central and Norwalk and you've got yourself an accurate list of participating schools. Should be a really great competition and we are looking forward to hosting all of these outstanding groups.
