It's interesting to see Huntington North and Franklin Community drop down to the Small School category. Did ISSMA update their numbers this year? It's based on school enrollment right? I feel like I should probably know and that it's in previous years topics but nonetheless should be very competitive to see if Fairfield can defend their title.
I WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE NEW PALESTINE DIAMOND SENSATIONS ON THEIR 8TH PLACE POSITION AT STATE TODAY. MY GROUP FROM EAST NOBLE ACTUALLY TIED THEM AND THEY WERE ANNOUNCED AS 9TH. THAT WAS INCCORRECT AS THERE ARE NO TIE-BREAKERS AT STATE. AS SUCH WE ARE BOTH 8TH PLACE AT STATE. I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW THAT WE APPRECIATE YOU AND THINK YOU ARE GREAT! AND THAT YOU DESERVE THE RECOGNITION FOR YOUR ACTUAL PLACEMENT. PROUD TO SHARE THE SPOT WITH YOU. CONGRATS.
Franklin Community's enrollment is almost 200 students below large mixed cut-off. Last year was the first year at state finals and I'm guessing the enrollment probably qualified for small mixed last year.
They changed it, I think. It never used to be as high as 1800. When they started separating by school size, it was 1300. I want to say that 1600 was what it was the last few years, so Franklin might have just gone over, but I'm not certain on that.

I'm nearly positive it's based on school population size and Huntington North is starting to get quite a bit smaller. People are moving out of the area because of the lack of jobs in such a small town. It's crazy to see them competing as a small mixed though.
