Good morning everyone!(it's morning for me -.-) I a m suffering from a severe show choir "hangover", so you will have to excuse my grammatical errors in advance. Today on my 3rd "BrradReview" Im gonna break down what I felt about some groups and talk about placements as well as a few other things to keep it spicy ;)

First, let me start by saying good job to all groups that competed! no one should feel ashamed, there were some absolutely special performances going on tonight!

Now, I did not see any Tier III Group or Single-Gender group so therefor I can not give accurate reviews on them sorry maybe next time!

TIER II
Tier II has really shined this year, and it's really exciting to see some smaller groups placing with the big dogs, and even surpassing some of them. The future of show choir is in good hands, as these groups will eventually move up into the bigger tier and hopefully be just as successful.

Sumrall "Legacy" - I got to see this group in person and I was very pleased with their show and theme. Decent vocals and sharp choreography; and all around good show choir. The female solo who did the whistle note, I applaud you I have never seen that in show choir. very impressive

Biloxi "SoundSurge" I did a review back y=on these lovely people at the show choir masters, hosted by Jackson Prep. They have continued to get better since then and I believe even placed finals at a competition earlier this year, so kahoots to you. For a tier II group, Soundsurge has relatively difficult choreography and they execute is VERY well. The energy is always there. again the ballad always gets me, absolutely wonderful vocals, especially during the ballad. Great last performance from them in their comp season. You should all be proud!

Northeast Jones "Gold Horizons"- This group has been absolutely stellar this season. I believe this is the only competition that they have not placed in finals, which insanely good. This season, NEJHS has beat out groups like South Jones, and JA; completely shocking many with there amazing vocals. I hope they move up a tier where they belong. great show this year (I did not give a performance review, because i did not see their performance, and I have seen their show a million times already)

Purvis "Pizzaz"- Once again, did not get to see their performance, but there must have been something magical in the air Purvis showed up and showed out and because they did they got GC in Tier II. Congratulations and job well done I personally was not expecting an upset based on past placements for this group, but that is the wonderful thing about show choir. No matter what, absolutely anything can happen

Tier I

Im only going to do Ja and Texas City bc I have done Petal (have I?) ((If not Ill do them later)) (((we all know their good)))

Jackson Academy "Encore"- I initially fell in love with your show at Prep, thought it was AMAZING! what really stuck out to me at prep was the Closer. it was on another level (in my opinion) than most of the show, it was just phenomenal. Since then, you guys have not only matched the energy in the closer, you took all that and multiplied it 2x The energy in the arm choreography specifically was insane . the vocals were AMAZING especially when you would hold those 4 or 5 chord half notes right before you went into a dance break. Also it was a treat to hear you warm up, your director was on FIRE (not literally) she was so excited and I could tell that really fed into the energy that was put on stage.

Texas City "Soundstations" - Very happy that I got to see a show choir from Texas. I can now mark that off of my "show choir" bucket list. The vocals were fine, but I wanna talk about the CHOREOGRAPHY. anyone who got the blessing to see this group dance was immediately impressed. They had some difficult choreo and it was almost "Clinton Clean". everything was strong and read very well. You also have some insane horns on you band!

That about wraps it up for now! Im going to go back to bed, and then im going to wake up and read "The Great Gatsby" for a Test I have tomorrow (oops) see you all next time!

This should be a great competition!!
I realize I should probably know this, especially considering my username, but does anyone have any info on West Jones?? Are they competing any more this season??

I heard that West Jones is trying to go to Show choir Nationals in Nashville.
