Hate to go all Donald Trump on you, and believe me, I do - but "wrong". Finals were done simply by ranking ONLY. No captions, no raw scores, no weighted scores. Judges simply selected a number, 1-6. Loveland received a 1, a 1, and a 2. Edgewood received a 2, a 2, and a 1.
In prelims, Edgewood was a 2, a 1, and a 1. And Loveland was a 1, a 2, and a 2. That's why Edgewood was Large Mixed Grand Champ in the prelims - when choirs WERE scored with points (though it WAS close). Captions were only provided in prelims. Therefore, choirs were awarded as tallied, and the results are correct - no sweep. I can't say if the results would have been different if points WERE awarded in finals, but judges didn't provide the quantifiable data to support or deny their decisions.
Oh, okay then, sorry about that! I had a few friends who went to the comp and said that Loveland swept. Definitely teaches me to check my sources!
Loveland actually swept in finals. Edgewood got best vocals in prelims. Sounds like a really close comp!
